Best MLB Playoff Moments Of The Last 25 Years

I know this video will not please all of you, so I apologize. I did not include Schilling's bloody sock because I couldn't find a short 10 second clip that symbolized his entire performace. Please let me know if there any other moments that I should have included.

The 2005 White Sox had some amazing moments. Uribe's catch for out #2 in game 4, Aj reaching 1b on the dropped third strike, Konerko grand slam, blum hr and getting out of bases loaded and no outs up one against Boston + Pods walk off in WS game two. How could none of them be on this list?
That double from Edgar...whenever I see it I feel the hair on my neck raise. Miss you Edgar...

From a Mariners fan, thanks for listing Edgar Martinez's double. Most people outside of Seattle don't even seem to remember that it happened.

its wat i was waiting for
I was in Yankee stadium for the last 1 on that list (Leyritz's 13th inning walk-off) in the '95 ALDS. While that HR gave birth to one of the greatest dynasties in team history we had no way of knowing that at the time. There hadn't been a bigger postseason HR hit in that place since Reggie hit 3 in '77 to win the WS and that bomb effectively exorcised 18 years of frustration and the crowd went berserk. The building literally shook, people were dancing in the. Streets and it was easily the most exciting thing I'd ever witnessed in that stadium up to that point.

Oh no, not 18 years. What about Damon hitting 2 home runs in game 7 2004 at Yankee Stadium to lead the Red Sox to victory and then their first WS victory in 85 years? Or are you still trying to block that one out? I assure you that there was much more celebration after that than your precious game 2 homer.
@redonsundays

Ortiz's 2 walk offs in one day as well as a clutch homer, a grand slam in game 7? You're just another typical "well we've won 27" Yankees fan that's trying to erase a year from their memory.
@TheJMSESQ

Co Ah I was just sharing my experience dude. i'm a yankee fan, you expect me to clamor about something great that happened for your favorite team? really?? and i'm not trying to erase anything. you guys finally beat us. it was bound to happen so good for you and the sox but it really didn't phase me one way or the other. so what if we're the only team to blow a 3-0 series lead? I've got plenty of great memories to balance out that bad one

Charles Lathrop Damon's all square w/us as he was prolly the most valuable player during the Yankee's 2009 WS run. Matsui got the WS MVP award and I can't argue w/that either but Damon was just as deserving. I was sorry they didn't re-sign him. He wasn't the beast he was for Boston but IMO you need cagy, high BB IQ guys like that on any championship team. they can make 1 or 2 heads up plays during the post season that can make all the difference. And yes, he did hit the GS in game 7 of the '04 ALCS.
Scott Podsednik's walk off and Paul Konerko's grand slam are pretty awe inspiring

Some of them had the radio call. Brosius HR in 2001 WS gm 5 had Gary Thorne's MLB international (tv outside of the US) call instead of FOX. Luis Gonzalez single had the Diamondbacks' radio call over FOX also. Chris Burke's walk off HR in the 18th had the Astros radio call (I believe Milo Hamilton?) over the ESPN broadcast. Joe Carter's walk off HR had I guess the Toronto radio call, not sure but it wasn't the CBS broadcast with Sean McDonough. Still a very solid reel and yeah the music was fine.
Chills down my spine thru the hole video. Great video

You missed the end of the '92 World Series, meant a lot for Canada since Expo's were never able to achieve this and never will. As the only Canadian MLB team now, the Blue Jays have now become 'Canada's Team', with the highest attendance record this season. Thank you for including Carter's huge walk-off 3-run homer in '93 though!
glad to see chris burke's 18th inning dinger but the HRs leading up to that were insane. Two out grand slam from berkman in the 8th and one of brad ausmas' 6 career HRs coming in the 9ths with two outs to tie the game….the season needs to start pronto

Leaving out Ortiz's grand slam is sickening.
these are fun to watch, but you did miss one that was pretty awesome, and I should know cuz I was there. Mark Loretta. Dodgers vs. Cardinals. 2009. Game 2. NLDS. Walk off. Come-from-behind. After the game, everyone was singing and dancing back to their cars in the parking lot. It was so much fun!
That David Freese home run will forever be my favourite
I keep clicking on 0:59. Not a Sox fan, but it gives me straight chills every time
Hey, did you notice that after Freese's homer, Joe Buck says "We'll see you tomorrow night." And then, the very next scene, when Big Papi goes yard, he says " We'll see you later tonight."

Joe Buck took that famous quote from his dad. And that is awesome
@billny33
7 жыл бұрын
It's an homage to father Jack Buck. The first image of the highlight reel is Kirby Puckett's walk off HR in game 6 of the 1991 WS where Jack said "And we'll see ya...tomorrow night!" That call became famous and Buck's call in both of those instances you mentioned was a nod to his dad's impact on baseball announcing and home run calls. Sadly Jack had passed away by then.
All of these are pretty electric except the game 7 D-Backs one, that one still hurts;(
If these are the best scenes of the last 25 years, I will kept watching ODELL BECKHAM!
Awesome!!! Everyone would agree a bunch of moments are missing but if you put them all in this would be a 30 min video. The only 2 I really would have liked to see is 'The walkoff grand single" and David Justice 3-run homer in game 6 of the 2000 ALCS with Michael Kay's call Im glad you put in game 6 of the 2004 NLCS and Game 7 of the 2006 ALCS both moments were just awesome!!!
Requiem for a Dream's theme is a great soundtrack to this if you look at each moment from the perspective of the team and fans that lost.

I was thinking about adding Podsednick but Joe Buck's call on that one just sucked.
As a Tigers fan, Magglio Ordonez's walk off homer was sweet enough to cover the fact that we got smacked by the Cardinals in the World Series
Someone's a Yankee fan...
This was awesome, but you definitely could've included Utley's fake throw play from the '08 WS.
The Astros-Cardinals rivalry was REAL 10 years ago. Some classic moments came out of those games.

Probably one of most underrated rivalries in Baseball. Astros v Cardinals was a spectacle to watch all the way from 1995-2005
Gave me chills.
The Rajai Davis homer has got to be one of the best moments in playoff history for me.
I think 2:45 should belong to some worst moments list. Either way a great video!
Endy Chavez's catch?
whats the song playimg in back ground. i been tryig to track down for yrs
Good video, but just off my head, I can think of so many great moments missing here. Bartman, of course. Better yet, the entire Cubs collapse in the 8th inning of Game 6 of the 2003 NLCS. Dave Roberts' steals. Jeter's November walk-off. Pudge holding onto the throw at the plate after being tackled by JT Snow to end the 2003 NLDS. Pujols' monster HR off Lidge. David Price coming in in Game 7 the 2008 ALCS as a baby-faced rookie to put away the defending WS champion Red Sox. Livan Hernandez's 15 K game against the Braves in the '97 NLCS. Game 6 of the 2002 World Series. Leyritz off Wohlers. The 9th inning ending in Game 5 of the 2012 Cards-Nats NLDS. The walk-off walk in the '99 NLCS. Robin Ventura sending the '99 NLCS to a Game 6 after the Mets had gone down 3-0 with a walk-off HR. Will Middlebrooks accidentally costing the Red Sox Game 3 of last years' World Series with the interference call.
What bout Berkman and Freese being down to their last strike in the 2011 WS... The triple for Freese and the single by Berkman... Or Endy Chavez catch in the 06 NLCS... Clemens throwing the Bat... Or the obstruction call during last years World Series... Might want to consider adding some of those to your bucket list... But great vid btw
The 2001 postseason is probably the wildest postseason in all of baseball.
good music, good video, and I couldn't recognize it as Lord of the Rings music, but it was familiar and great job.
The greatest moment has to be joe carter's walk off hr to win the World Series. Cmon
1:28 still gives me chills
Who else gets chills watching this?
I would have added some game 163 moments (but I guess they don't count as playoffs), what come to mind are Matt Holliday, Chris Gomez, and Evan Longoria. Nice list though I enjoyed it
The Cubs winning the World Series tonight after 108 years should be on a list like this now.

He said he choked up on his bat more than ever (?). At least he had a plan. Mo was brutal against lefties.
Damn as a kid I remember driving home and hearing the houston astros announcer repeating "its gone" wow fricken crazy
I noticed there were some WS games in here. Since this is a playoffs video, it would probably be better to have just NLDS, ALDS, NLCS, and ALCS series games in here. Also, Otis Nixon robbing the home run in 1992 would be a great addition.
Where'd you get the audio for Luis Gonzalez' hit to win the '01 World Series?
To this day I will never forget who hit the home run off Mitch Williams to win the 93 World Series, Joe Carter I remember it like yesterday
What's the song in the background? I know it from somewhere.
Damn! When the twins won the world series, the bat and glove went insanely high!!
I was hoping to see something from 2013 like when Johnny Cueto drops the ball at PNC when fans were chanting his name then Russell Martin hitting a homerun on the next pitch.
BEST VIDEO EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My top 5 best playoff moments of last 25 years (in order); 5. The final out of the '04 world series giving Boston and their long suffering fans the ultimate prize. 4. Luis Gonzalez game winning single in the '01 World Series. The one time I was actually rooting for New York for obvious reasons. One of the most emotional series ever. 3. Jim Leyritz 8th inning homerun in game 4 of '96 series. He saved the series for the Yankees and reignited the dynasty 2. Joe Carter homerun, caps great comeback in game 6 in the most dramatic fashion giving the Blue Jays back-to-back championships 1. Gene Larkin game winning hit ending the best World Series ever
Jimmy Rollins hits a walk off triple in game 4 of the '09 NLCS in a game the Phillies were losing. I appreciate everything in this video. But the fact is, very few of them were walk off hits where the team was losing going in the inning or AB. Not to mention he did it with 2 outs. So Game 4 of the '09 NLCS, Jimmy Rollins hits a game winning triple with his team down 4-3 with 2 outs in the bottom of the 9th. The only Phillies highlight is the no hitter by Roy Halladay.
I'm a Cubs fan and hate the cardinals but the David freese game gives me chills
This gave me goosebumps
2:32 Amazing I was at that game
Good video..that was fun to watch. I personally would add Bush throwing out the first pitch..that was a great national moment at a time the country needed it most. Looks like you stuck to strictly World Series stuff, but a lot of amazing things happened during the regular seasons as well, but I’m guessing you left out Sosa and McGwire because of roids.
2:04 , 3:55 chills
Man, I love baseball.
what song is playing in the background
The 2001 World Series clip....still fkn hurts to this day 🤣
Pujols bomb to win game 5 of the 2005 NLCS. Jeff Kent's walk off HR to win game 5 of the 2004 NLCS.
no big papi grandslam against the tigers??? or victorino's grandslam?
what song did you use?
Very good work. I have a question. What music did you use? Thanks
I'm a Rangers fan and I understand why it's not here, but then winning the ALCS by striking out A -Rod was such a great moment.
I'm a cards fan but endy chavez robbing scott rolen in game 7 '06 nlcs has gotta be up there. Also scott podsednik walk-off in game 2 of the '05 Series and the red sox breaking the curse in '04 is a no-brainer.
