    I live in America and I was born and raised but in blood im straight bosnian... Trust me in Bosnia and Europe all the women and men work there ass off to get maybe a couple of dollars (it's a different currency over there) while here all I see is McDonald's, and all these junk food restaurants but yet they're constantly saying they're the best country and all.. Honestly I much rather live in the U.S. Then any other country (my opinion) just because you get a chance here.. But America is not a tough country just have $$ if you know what I mean...

    That Robert Horry shot is the greatest of all-time. Don't care what anyone says. He misses that shot Lakers lose the series and the fact that Shaq and Kobe both choked up easy shots and all hope was lost and the perfect timing and where the ball went to and where he is, it was a play made by faith, it's just surreal to me even now. It's so special

    Since europe can use the "we dont care about that sport" can the US use it too? Soccer obviously isnt a US sport but the US is on the up and coming in that. The US doesnt care about soccer and were still better than most of the countries in the world where soccer is the most popular sport. The best athletes in America play basketball or football, and soccer is like the 6th or 7th most popular sport. Imagine if say, LeBron James wanted to be a soccer goalie instead of basketball player? Whos gonna score on that man he covers the whole net with his arms alone. If the US cared about soccer, we would dominate in that too

    Soccer is the most popular sport on the world. Think that a game of FC Barcelona vs Real Madrid is five times more seen than the principle game in U.S. that is the Super Bowl, Soccer has more fans around the world. American Football is seen only in U.S. So u can't compare Soccer and American Football, have a lot of different. Soccer is increasing in U.S.

Two other major sporting events you may have heard of them, The World Cup, and The Olympics. Which America participates in also. We've never won the world cup, and men have never won gold in fact last time men won silver and bronze was literally 101 years ago in 1904.

  • @TheCoreContingency

    @TheCoreContingency

    9 жыл бұрын

    the word "World" in World Series comes from the name of a defunct newspaper named "the World News" (or something like that) that sponsored the series a century or so ago. MLB just kept the name of the series. It's not meant to mean champions of the world. Although, there is the World Baseball Classic held every 4 years or so where it's meant to decide the best baseball country (USA has never won it). Also, baseball is played competitively and is the most popular sport in Japan. Basketball has the FIBA World Championship. However, I completely agree with you regarding the use of the term "champions of the world" where the sport does not have a country versus country competition. I really believe that the players who say 'champions of the world' do not realize what they are truly saying.

    You have to grow up with baseball lore around you to appreciate the game. It's probably the most dificult sport in the world. There is nothing harder than hitting a 95 mph fastball with a round bat in 60 ft somewhere where no one can catch it.

    Yeah even though it requires ZERO physical effort....shots in hockey come at you faster when you have to deflect them...if you're a goalie you have to try to save those....also you have to put your body in front of them.......and that's just one aspect of the game......HOCKEY IS 50x harder than baseball

    Yep indeed, if we didn't already know US people we could get angry that no other country or even no US dedicated sport is here. This could even become disrespectful for thousands of incredible sportsmen around the world. But fortunately, we DO know US Americans, and thus know you don't think bad by even not putting the 1995 Rugby World Cup final (symbol of the end of Apartheid in South Africa) among those moments, or the race of this English lad whose father helped finishing his race after he got injured... Next time do not hesitate to have a look at other countries/sports, you'll see epic is everywhere ;)
