Agree. Most of the time today’s games suck too. Too many “wide” checkdowns & passes just across the line of scrimmage. The blocking back then seems to have worked better & when they did pass they at least put the ball downfield. It’s more efficient football today but it can get boring.

I miss McMahon. Those were the days!

Imagine the career McMahon would have had if Charles Martin hadn't have ended it...

Jim Mcmahon. A journeyman QB who lucked into playing on the greatest defensive team in history.

Just think how much greater they would’ve been if that team would’ve just had a functional offense line. Had any other backup quarterback been thrown into that situation (not that they weren’t forced to try) there’d be no legendary, “Gang Green” defense to even remember. Don’t get it twisted, the Eagles were ones that lucked out not the journeyman QB.

McMahon was awesome when he was healthy. Unfortunately, he wasn’t healthy very often
