Forgot to mention it in the video, but this model's composition is really good as well. Unfortunately I don't have it at hand (had to take it home on a recent trip for the thumbnail photo), but I remember a good weight with a decent amount of metal. The latter you can probably figure out from all the metallic tings you can hear as I set the ship down throughout the video

I'm afraid I still haven't attempted it myself. But apparently it's just a matter of the right kind of plastic (no I don't know which), molding it into the right shape (usually with heat, but don't just heat up plastic unless you know what you're doing), and some clear tape. You defiantly need above average craft skills and the right tools, but thankfully I don't believe they're hard to learn skills with a good KZread video. And they should be cheep/improvisable tools

Thank you so much for the video!!! Do you have a size comparison of the XL vs non-XL Discovery-A Refit?

Not exactly, however both models are the same size as their pre-refit designs. So the size difference is the same as in my review of the original models: kzread.info/dash/bejne/an-jqZiChrnMfbw.html

You're actually pretty close with calling it the "science dome" it's called the sensor dome and on the bottom of the saucer so that when they're above a planet they can get good readings

That actually makes a lot of sense. I always wondered why there was a science section at the bottom of so many saucers. Now if only the ships would actually orbit with the bottom twords the planet, as opposed to the side :)
