EaganMatrix Note Graphs under Overlay Control (Sneak Peek #3)

From my testing and user documentation for the upcoming Overlay feature, here's a very simple EaganMatrix program that exposes a few parameters for Overlay control (Using the versatile Electra One controller), but this really shows that you can now control a lot of things externally besides just using macros. Here Note Graphs are used to create a drone playing a selectable pattern of notes though loading up new Offset graphs on the EaganMatrix module in real time. You could create some very interesting pattern-based compositions this way by dynamically changing note graphs in interesting ways as illustrated here.

Not the overlay function yet, but yes the basic note graphing function is in the current 10.09 firmware and you can edit the graphs in the editor to be whatever you like as static graphs. Osmose presets do not use BiqGraphs for note playing but BiqGraphs work fine on Osmose. A few Osmose presets do use graphs to change the harmonic content of the input where you can adjust up to 48 harmonics under program control (the original use for them). You can also use the graphs for create an arbitrary envelope/function generator with any shape you can think of.

I tried to make patches with the eagan matrix, but it is way to difficult for me. Is this a sort of user interface thing like lets say “vital” ? Cos tbh I don’t know what you are talking about.

@@XeloX58 yeah I have no clue either... I just don't wanna use EagenMatrix at all... this is like Neo reading the Matrix - not everyone is Neo. At least not without tons of training

@@XeloX58 That is the whole point of overlays when they are available for use (they require new firmware not out yet). Overlays will let you twiddle knobs, rotaries, sliders, and buttons to change a preset's configuration. You won't have to deal with changing anything in the EaganMatrix. But for now if you want to do this kind of thing you have to program it in the EaganMatrix.

@@eaganmatrixprogramming Ahh thanks !! I think the eagan is maybe one off the best softsynths, together with falcon, but both are very difficult to manipulate…. I think the eagan with its MPE is so powerfull! I do own a osmose, but I cant make my own sounds. I hope some day the eagan will be available as a AU in logic. And as VST for window users. That would make a lot of peopel happy. And yes, a good interface would be handy !!

EaganMatrix isn’t fit for purpose. Stop putting money developing new vsts like Noisy 2 andget a better front end for the EaganMatrix. Still love my Osmose.

Sorry. This not an EE site. I have nothing to do with EE development. I suggest you raise your issues with Expressive E. They don't really monitor this site.
