CG in manual is wrong it is 55mm and I use 3 cell 1300 high c . You should check out my unbox n build

Batteries ran perfectly

3 minutes is definitely NOT enough. You can double that time with more scale like throttle management. EDF 18's in general can do much slower patterns to the belly landing.

Nice build love the vids, so I have the same gyro in mine, but I also use all radio link products, my plane is completely custome outside of the frame. I do have a question, have you had an issue with shaking with higher speeds going straight or in turns? It drives me nuts, in low rates it seems better but still happens

I saw in another review that the guy suggested to decrease the gyro gain sensitivity and also increase the expo a bit (up to 30% for the most conservative mode). Hope this helps

@@perseus9968 So I did a thing, its called read the instructions LOL. The gains cannot be adjusted, although I have 100% deflection and about 80% expo it still shakes, so when in low rates a little better and my D/R is at 60% deflection and 80% expo but still shakes under hard acceleration. So what I found out by looking at the instructions is I can shut it off completely and that's what I did ;-) So I now have 3 positions for Gyro. Thanks much. You should test this out. I have already gets close to 90MPH. 40amp ESC, Xfly 4s 50mm EDF and a Tattu 1300mah 5s 100c pack. Get a solid 900 to 950 grams of thrust.

@@ltfadl1 Hey Anthony. I haven't built mine - thanks for your build info. FYI rates should not impact the gyro. That's why you can't tune the shake out with rates. The radio is setting the rate and the gyro has no way to know what you rate is set to. The gyro just corrects what it thinks needs correction. Your gyro is probably picking up vibrations. Make sure no wires are bumping into it. You can try different foam sticky pads to dampen the vibrations the gyro is sensing. Maybe your EDF is mounted a tiny bit loose. I'd just hold the plane and go pretty high throttle. If you feel a buzz through the foam the gyro will. The gyro thinks it's moving left/right/left/right or up/down/up/down because it probably is by a very tiny amount.

@@js32257 I figured it out, I just disable the gyro and I can turn down the gains as well. The gains where too high. I balance all my EDF fans so it wasn't vibration, but high winds and a twitchy gyro setting. ;-) I am also in the process of building another one, I took a nose dive almost full throttle LOL.

​@@ltfadl1aww man. Thats why i stick to the small 3/4channel. If i crash i womt cry....I have crashed many times. I do want a larger EDF with a gyro. Just d9mt know what to get. The F18 is tooooo fast for me!

What battery cell and size were you using?

@@blowy48flyrc I think it's sour grapes from EU following Brexit. Never had this problem before with Bangood. Anyway, I enjoyed your video of the maiden but sadly wont be over paying for one anytime soon. Cheers.
