I have a 2018 E400 wagon, and I completely agree with you about the squeaky plastics. Drives me nuts. I actually do hear it a bit when I’m driving. I especially hear the squeak from the plastics under the dash in the driver footwell area. I do have a heated steering wheel though!

This feels like such a full circle moment for me i always see your reels on IG and everytime i see your car i want one so bad its so awesome going on youtube and seeing your video!!

The heated steering wheel make absolutely no sense with heated armrests.

E55 is great don’t get me wrong, but the W213 is leaps and bounds better than the W211. The dislikes are so minor that people literally have to go find them and start grabbing interior parts to come up with something. Plus the first couple were first year 2018 things only. If you haven’t, go drive a 213 E63S, you’ll be blown away. 😀

Best car ever. The slightly exposed intercooler is no issue at all. Just look at all the skylines and supra with the massive front mount intercoolers. It'd the way it should be.

Those IC's are ATW. They get hit and punctured and cause leaks.

The w212 5.5 sounds much better than the 4.0 all day. I was shocked at how much i missed the sound of my 5.5 so i decided to keep it.. HAHA

I have the 2019. Bought it mostly cuz of the crackles and snaps. And it's a Merc. Oh, and it's a sleeper. In my other car, an SRT8, every snot nosed camaro owner wanted to race. I'm 52 now. You do the math... Take it to the track, kids!

I have the same car with the Panamericana grille but I can’t find a amg badge that will fit properly could you tell me where you got it from?

I own an E53 Coupe and I do share some points with you: - I do miss the heated wheel especially coming from my evoque, which ofc has it and myself always having cold hands. Factually on every amg a heated wheel is optional. - Being a european car I haven't experienced any creaking sounds from my interior, touching the same surfaces as you. What I really don't like that much would be leather quality. My car has 78'000km (around 45k miles) on it and I'm really not that heavy, but the seat already has so many creases on the outer part it's ridiculous - even though mine is doing above average compared to other with half the mileage. I've seen C63s armrests get loose because of resting their elbow on it - thankfully I'm more careful. Other than that I do not like this poor Burmester Surround Sound System with only 13 speakers. Again the evoque's Meridian is far better in comparison for being such an older car. I just can't get myself confortable with it, it's too unbalanced especially with the bass, mids are pretty clear I even connect it via lossless usb everytime. I like the touchless infotainment, the scroll wheel makes it easy to navigate without focusing too much on it. Downside is that my cameras sometimes don't work other than that great car

How's the ride quality, and is the transmission jerky?

Drivers car to its core. All the money spent on the w213 is under the hood. Get some redstar catless downpipes / eurocharged ECU/TCU/CPC tune and you will never get rid of it. I LOVE mine

just so you don’t give mis information the 2018 models ONLY IN CANADA CANNOT BE REMOTE START FROM THE APP. IF THE CAR WAS MADE IN CANADA OR IS TRANSFERRED TO CANADA THEY DISABLE IT FOR WHAT EVER REASON, IN CALI WE HAVE REMOTE START ON 2018

ALL GERMAN made vehicles DONT come with remote start. In Germany there is a law that a vehicle can't be left running without someone behind the wheel, so remote start is illegal there.

Hey I'm sorry but you can use the app to start the car. But I can say that I do have problems with it from time to time. But it does work. My car is a 2018

I have a 2018 e63s and the mercedes app works with mine. I'm able to remote start it. What I hate with mine is I don't have have any playback function on music that I see plenty of 2018s have and I also don't have that race track mode that clocks your 0-60 times.

If you dont have race mode that means you a « regular” E63 and no S

You can start the car remotely. For this, you need the remote parking app. ;-)

The creaking...!

Hate the transmission mapping, too much lag from pedal drop and sometimes won't upshift. I agree with the heated steering wheel complaint. I can remote start 2018 with the app but it's very unreliable. They also charge a subscription to the crappy app. Really sucks for a $100k car

Uhh the mercedes me app works with remote start..also you need to update the command software

GT63s is an epic car both in terms of drive, interior and looks! Only reason I sold it is the price of the car put me off from doing things to it and it was dying for more noise! Way way too quiet for a car that looked as special as it especially with a V8 (may not be an issue for you if you’re in the US)!

Idling for warmup isn't recommended, certainly in a cold climate.

Heated wheel is an option. If you don't order it, you don't get it. I live in a hot country and don't option 'heated' anything, but the base models of all AMG over here come with heated and cooled seats. If you don't have MBUX, the media interface is sludge. Option the MBUX and you don't have that problem. Every E series I've been in don't creak - maybe yours has had a hard life?

Lord have mercy, bemoaning a heated steering wheel. If it was cold steel, maybe. But a leather wheel that is FAR above ambient. Talk about first world problems. With regard to cheap plastics. cool video. i thought about buying this car, but it looks like it has not a lot space left when i put my seat far back (im 2m tall, 6,7'). thats the only annoying thing i really see. because i wanna have people with me for long car drives and this really sucks. also that theres no touch display is also a little annoying and not state of the art.
