E46 EML+DSC+Brake light
** SOLUTION **
In my case the issue was the idle control valve - simply needed cleaning
- remove the ICV and use carb cleaner with a pipe cleaner to remove the built up carbon until the flap move freely l
- you will know if this is the issue if the ICV flap does not move freely when you rotate it quickly with a flick of your wrist
unfortunately this same set of lights can come up due to different unrelated problems as well, but this is an easy first check, since it only requires removing a few parts, cleaning, and reassembly

Remove the dcs abs harness clip clean with contact spary and put it back the harness should clear tge issue.

Just to add regarding this issue, please remove and check the engine harness cable and conection into the ecu. Maybe it might solve the problem also.
