This is confusing....

Thank-you so much for these video. I am just learning grading since vintage patterns often come in only one size. I find multisized patterns easy to grade based on the fact that the sizes are there and i can see all the grade points. I was wonder if you have looked at metric pattern cutting for menswear,etc. The book covers pattern drafting and grading. It uses x-y grading techniques for standard blocks in single sizes or s-m--l-xl The author provides standard industry grades between sizes including how much to move x-y for each cardinal point on the block pattern. My first project is to grade a men's suit pattern and shirt from size 44 to 50. I hope I can do it as well as you.

Can you please explain why the waist dart is enlarged and not the side dart?

This upload is okay better than other videos on here. However, there are few flaws that should had been addressed but that is also dependent on her grading rules.

Where do I buy the grading ruler?

When do you expect to have Part II out? :) I'm really wanting to learn how to use AI to grade my patterns.

+Chantel Stephens Hi! I have been waiting for her videos too but I think she stopped making them! I have grading tutorials in Adobe Illustrator that you could check out. A few methods actually. Check it out if you're looking to learn more on grading (in Illustrator)

Rani Tiara I found it on Craigslist a long time ago. Its an older machine, the newer ones work just as well. I know that Ace Sewing sells the newer ones for $550 (If you go to their site go to Home>Pattern Making Supplies > Patternmaking Tools you should see "D400 Dario Grad-O-Meter Grading Machine" or just type in grading in the search bar.)

The garment industry is highly specific when it comes to clothing. I have yet to work with a company where I have to grade or create plus size clothing. So, I'm very sorry but I can't give advice on something I don't know anything about.
