Perfect landings. I've had one of these sitting for years in the basement. Finally pulled it out and ready to fly.

Enjoy it It may be a beginner plane but it always a good thing to take a simple step back once and a while and just enjoy something simple.

I want to thank you for taking the time to produce this video. Not just performing the manoeuvres but explaining what you did to get the plane to execute the necessary controls as well, i enjoyed that tremendously thanks

I have open field to practice my first couple flights, I am great at the simulator and drone flying. My question is do I register with AMA right away or can I wait a week or so to go to the parks? I have 5 in my area within 30mins. Second question, after I add gps and autoland would the DX6 be a good transmitter choice?. Just received easy lights today! Thanks again for your knowledge. This I think will really help with Deployment PTSD and be a great hobby! Enjoy your day boss💯

Get your AMA as soon as possible, read the rules carefully and try your best to go to a rc field with a club. There is always a member willing to help. Also your transmitter is your biggest and most important expense. Get the best one you can afford. A dx6 is ok but old and out of date. Try to get this one (NX 8) if you can afford it: www.horizonhobby.com/product/nx8-8-channel-dsmx-transmitter-only/SPMR8200.html As far as the AMA license that will protect you if your following AMA rules. An example were they wont cover you is if your flying over peoples heads at a park or in an unsafe manner. Hope this helps.

I have had my apprentice for about 3 years now and the rubber bands are pretty much dry rotted. Any idea where to get rubber bands that are the same size as the ones that came in the box?

What is the beeping sound and is that a norm for this plane

Well I am sorry I went back and watched the video. Please tell me at what time stamp was this beeping so i can explain. It was either me trimming the plane or starting the plane, the plane has a start up chime when the ESC arms itself to warn that the motor is now active.

I hate this plane. it's too light. any little gust of wind sends it off course like it hit a tornado. if there's a updraft and a crosswind you will lose this plane in safe mode. you can almost control it in intermediate mode. but if you're new and the wind gets it, kiss this plane bye bye. it will probably just keep going into the sunset. they made it way too newbie friendly. it flies like a glider. I wouldn't recommend this plane to an inexperienced person due to this issue. you need a dead calm day to fly this thing and that's almost never in an open field. another issue is if you give it full power all it does is climb. it will not fly straight no matter how you set up the elevator trim. another issue with it is, it's not at all durable. the foam on the bottom of the fuselage is so soft if you pick it up from the tail section, your fingers will puncture right through it. the fuselage is also kind of soft and weak compared to other brands like freewing. the elevators on mine broke in flight once. it has a plastic skin over the foam but it ripped off during flight bringing entire right side elevator with it. so I had no control. I looked around forums and found this to be such a big problem Horizon had to change the materials for replacement tail wings. all in all I would rate this plane a 4 out of 10. and in typical horizon hobby tradition, parts are becoming harder to get. you literally can't get everything you need to repair this thing when I just looked. several parts on backorder. the price for replacement parts is also an issue. $81 for the motor? YIKES! $86 for a fuselage! YIKES!! $70 for a wing?!? WTF! $30 for a basic servo LOL, and $21 for the micro servo again, LOL. this plane is far too expensive to fix.
