Bonets syndrome: eyes are totally inoperative but an outside movie is still happening..not consistently though. My older brother and Oliver sacks had it. Happens to many people who went blind in older age but they dont tell because they are afraid people will think they have gone crazy.

If we only have access to our "inner" brain constructed world experience, photons (particles) travelling from a to b (in an external cartesian physical world) and hitting an optic nerve is pure speculation that comes from the very system that "defines" that reality.

Exactly. This business of a "brain" that processes "waves" etc....the brain and the waves, and everything else all appear in consciousness, it is all "information", if you like, all just knowledge, all just a knowing. I really think that Jackson knows all this.

@@ejackpete3 no. consciousness has a very precise function and definition. when you are sitting on a chair you are not sitting on consciousness. ever. it doesnt matter. all dullards of your type are about to be swept away. be afraid.
