I appreciate the review, thank you! I just purchased a refurbished v8 model for the convenience of having the furniture motor head. I’m curious to know how your v8 is working now.

Cool review. My dyson ball vacuum has just started dropping dirt/dust back ok the floor when I turn it off. Same issue you're having with your v8, except I've had mine for around 5 years. I'll probably get the v7 after this and a few other reviews

i got the v8 and did a lot of research aka YouTubing and looked at the vacuum war channel and saw it on sale at target for 250 during the Black Friday sales

*Try using the V7 attachment on the V8, or vice versa. Based on other tests from others, they all seem to agree the V7 performed better. But it seemed like the design of the V7 attachment was the main factor.*

Do you know any certain time they may be on sale. I was going to get the dyson v8 animal, and the day I went to purchase the sale had ended. 🤨

V7 cost £200 in the Uk and V8 cost £300. I will go for V7 as it can pick up better dirt than V8; End of the day it matters! Great review thank you

V7 doesn’t have hepa filter

Good video thanks. Just to advise your viewers. The V8 runs for 25 with the main motorised head on. Also the V8 has battery indicator bars, but the V7 doesn't have this. The V8 will run for 7 mins on Max mode. I don't notice a difference in bin sizes between the two. The V8 has more dense carbon fibre filaments on the brush roller. Lasty V8 has a HEPA filter to clean the exhaust air, but V7 model you have doesn't. This is a very honest and thorough review, thank you ;)

Do you even need max power? Or is the regular power enough. I have a Kirby and I’m over the bulkiness. I just ordered the v8 from Home Depot at $249

The regular power is enough. I only use the max power every once in a while.

Maybe you can try the motorized head from your mom's V7 on your V8 and repeat the test to see if has something to do with the age of your V8 and you might need to get your motorized head replaced. I just got a V8 and it's great. I was going to buy the V7, but Costco here by my area only had the V8 at the store and it was only a $50 difference, so I went with the V8.

I might be wrong but I think you mixed up the v7 and v8 in your video with the on screen labels and the videos comparing the car litter. You may have mixed up the videos with your voice review

I've read that there is only 7 minutes of run time when using the power head and suction and not a half hour with only suction. Nowhere worth the price of over $300.00 USD.

What people don't realize is that the true test comes from lifting up your rug or carpet to see if the vacuum truly performed. If there is still dirt underneath, then your vacuum is inferior. Thus the Rainbow is still the best.

I have v8 is not good because the battery only last 20 minutes and battery is not removable and I have to wait for recharge the batteries make the battery we can changing like milwaukee not enough running time

I noticed that the v7 is louder than the V8

I got 30 dollar mini shop vac goes forever with cord Dyson 20 min is joke

Neither. Get something else.
