My brother blow dries his hair lol. So it sticks up.
I got it for ab $300 instead of $500 buying on Black Friday and they included a holding stand. For me, the shorter drying time is beyond worth it - curly hair, usually takes me up to 30 minutes to finish drying, with this bad boy it takes 4-6 minutes. As someone who is literally always late bc I spend too long getting ready, this is a game changer

Agree - gave my $30 blow dryer to my son :) and love it - cuts drying time in half and hair does feel silkier. Got it for a Mothers Day gift - its really nice. Mine is gorgeous red with silver and has a matching red leather case. Dreamy Gift!!
Bought this as a Christmas present to myself last year after a bad perm and a recommendation from my hair dresser and I love it. Yes very expensive £299.00 here in uk but I think it is worth it. Smooths my hair so I don’t always have to use my ghds and yes it does dry your hair faster.
My husband knocked on the bathroom door right after I washed my hair and I was getting geared up to exert the energy to blow dry my long hair. I opened the door and he handed my this in the box! Perfect. He knows how I hate to blow dry my hair. It’s hot, sweaty and loud even with the quietest dryer I could find. Thank you for your tutorial. (I liked the way you sectioned your hair also). It is a dream come true to not have that noise blaring in my ears ( little bathroom) , less time and silky hair! I love it. At first I thought it doesn’t get as hot but with the power it’s a pleasure not to have to sweat to dry my hair. Wonderful gift of time and comfort. I won’t dread blowing my hair. I could hear the volume on my iPad.
Yes, please do a comparison video with your regular hair dryer! And show us how the diffuser attachment works as well!
I just bought this after thinking about it for a very long time. If you have long, thick, unmanageable and damaged hair, it is soooooo worth it! I find myself planning things around my hair routine because it takes so very long to blow dry or air dry and letting it be is NOT an option unfortunately ): this is like buying yourself TIME.

TrinaDuhra I have this hairdryer. I love it except the cool switch. I feel that it should have been located higher up, possibly above the on/off switch. That’s just my opinion. Otherwise I love it. Just to let you you know, if you turn the nozzle around to vertical position it cuts through the hair and dries right underneath as well as the top. I love that about The Dyson Hairdryer as well as everything else. Thanks for the review.

I love, love, love this hair dryer! I purchased mine in February and it has really blown my mind at how good this thing is! It cut my hair drying time down too and like you said I can just dry it and leave out the door if I wanted too. It's by far one of the best investments I have made! Before it took me like 45 mins-1 hr to dry my hair including sectioning, but with the dyson it's dried in 6-8 mins with only parting in 2 sections (I have super thick hair). It's just awesome!

I love the comparison you used to the hand dryer in public bathrooms because those are DYSON too! Just got the dryer yesterday 😍😍
I own this hairdryer. I got it with credit card points on black Friday. Besides saving time, I feel the biggest advantage is that you can use it on a cool setting to dry your hair. You have so much power you don't have to use the heat. Just think of the damage your saving your hair!
I can’t wait to get mine! I’ve been eyeing this for 4 weeks now and I finally ordered earlier today.
I LOVE MINE!!! I love looking at it, holding it, hearing it, the magnetic party going on but my number one perk of this... time blowdrying!!!
I loved this review... My hair is just like your hair.. I just ordered mine using my PayPal credit card one a 12 month 0 % payment plan.. Can't wait to get it!!!!
Your video is awesome! It’s very concise and informative and it helped me to justify my Dyson hairdryer purchase. I have no regrets even with the whopping price tag. Thank you!! P.S Your hair is gorgeous by the way.
I just received one as gift. I HATE using a new dryer. I have very thick hair. From start to finish it takes me almost 1 hr to be able to finally just get dressed. I have a desk fan on my bathroom counter because I get so hot while I'm trying to dry and style my hair. I'm very excited about this one. Fingers crossed it goes well tomorrow morning.
The hand washroom dryers you spoke about are also from Dyson.

Seeing how you use the attcchments and when you switch them out helped me see what I needed to do better and I think that will make ALL the difference. So I'm hopeful again. Thanks!
It's sooo hard to justify $400 for a hair dryer but it's soo tempting!!!
This blowdryer is awesome. If you can get away with not having to do the finishing with a flat iron, you are avoiding damaging your hair. It almost seemed as if this blowdryer nourished your hair instead of damaging it. Amazing! All I need to do is save $400 to get one. If I don't go eat sushi dinners eight times, I will have enough!
Yes with the comparison but please do another video for the diffuser too. Rooting more for the diffuser though lol since I have wavy to curly hair and tired of straightening. Thumbs up!!!

In other words, you've compelled a 30-year-old man to comment on a hair dryer video. Well done!

Ive purchased Chi dryer and the Sedu 4000i. The Chi was about $149 and the Sedu was a $200. I purchased the Chi in 2005 and it lasted 7 yrs, and survived a house fire. The Sedu I purchased in 2012 and I am still using it. I've purchased cheap dryers prior to my CHi, in the $50 range and they would only last a year. The dryers with an AC motor last longer. I can hontesly say that the more expensive dryers are worth it. I blowout my hair 1 /day. Once my Sedu starts to go, I will buy either the Dyson or T3.
I have a T5 and I lov it. It has lasted for years. When that one goes and Lord knows when that will be, I will get the Dyson. If it's good quality it's a good buy. Imagine how many you buy when you get the cheaper one? I've had my T5 for at least 5 yrs. so don't be scared away from the price tag

Hey Trina, do you think you can post up a video in which you blow dry your hair with a drugstore hair dryer vs. with the Dyson. I'd love to compare the results. Also, do you still use the hair dryer? Do you have any more recent looks using the dryer?

Alix S Are you in the US? The retail price is $399. I was drawn into the video because I saw the $500 and immediately wanted to write Trina. It's misleading to post $500 hair dryer without a disclaimer for Canada. I had no idea she was in Canada before she mentioned she purchased it in Canada in the video
How long did it take to get your hair fully dry?
I am browsing reviews on this product because I am buying one on the 1st of November. Where I work is having an associate discount on it and I have saved up a TON of points on my store rewards card for the last year and a half so it will be a way more reasonable price to buy. Less than $200. I currently have a $125 dryer and it is not the greatest. Takes me quite a while to dry all my hair, and it leaves hot spots and damp spots on my hair. I wash my hair daily because I have a very oily scalp (my face and hair get super oily, I know you shouldn't wash your hair daily blah blah blah) so I am styling my hair on the daily especially if i have to work which is 5 days out of the week. I would love to have a shorter dry time and have my hair dry in a way where it is less frizzy so I have been totally sold on this! My hair is very similar in thickness and texture to yours as well as the length. Even the way you mentioned you get waves and kinks in your hair when you dry it is exactly what happens to mine! Really thorough review!
It has a see-through hole. How does it push air without a fan?
The hand dryer you’re referring to in the video is also made by dyson. That’s probably why the hair dryer reminded you of that.
Mine just came in today. I’m so excited to try it!! I hate blow drying my hair so I’m hoping this will cut down the time 😂😂
I‘m buying the supersonic hairdryer for my mum. She’s gonna love it.
How is your hair so thick? Please do a video on that!
Great review like always Trina👍 wish it wasn't so expensive tho but maybe I'll put it on my bday wish list😁 .... love u Trina God bless 😙
Looked up a video looking to see if it was worth the price to buy one for my partner. Going into this blind knowing nothing about the product. Magnetic seems a good feature but no big deal. After seeing this now I'm not convinced. It might do everything you ask but so does a far cheaper hair dryer. I think all dyson has done is use a different way to claim the same results which is to dry your hair. Different technology to blow out hot air and probably the same technology they use for their fan heater with less heat and being smaller. Are dyson reinventing the wheel or are they just over complicating tech?
What round brush do you use?
I got the vaccum last April 2020. I love my dyson vaccum. I want this hair dryer but i am super hesitant to drop $500 on a hair dryer. But, my $20 drugstore hair dryer is making my hair so frizzy and burnt. I cut my hair this past August. I need a hair dryer to make my hair more bouncy.
Yes, own it and LOVE it, well worth the investment 👌🏻
Those hand dryers that you put your hands into in public bathrooms are made by Dyson too :) I want to try this, Thanks for the review! Have you tried the Harry Josh? Do you think this is better?

So here the thing, I’m gonna get a little off topic. The phrase “So ghetto” is really offensive and doesn’t sit well with me... I’ll explain. A ghetto is a low income area where minorities live, this has then become a phrase people use to describe things that are substandard and disappointing or displeasing. People still live in the ‘ghetto’ and to do this is offensive to them, so maybe let’s not.

I have been owning the Dyson blow dryer for over four years and this is the first time I'm using a smoothing nozzle to straighten my hair so that I can finally stop complaining about frizzy hair. I'm super lazy when it comes to doing my hair. I lose my patience with doing hair and nails. 😢it is nice that I don't have to use a flat iron too. 😢
It not feel hot right like regular hair dryer?
I want to know how does it look at the end of the day!
Do you still have this? My husband wants to buy me one for Christmas but I'm so unsure £360 in the uk. How long will it last me will it break after a few years 🤔
There’s a reason this hair dryer is expensive. It’s a beautiful device and my hair is gorgeous after I blow it out. Hands down the best hair dryer. If you have long thick hair and you blow out your hair often, invest in this. This is so much gentler on my hair, takes less time and most importantly no flat iron needed!
I have the Dyson hair dryer. If I didn't have it, I would have thought that this video was smoking mirrors lol. My hair texture and volume is a lot like yours and I absolutely agree that it cuts down my drying time significantly. Also, my frizz almost disappears after I dry my hair!
