I do the “comb chase” method with my Airstrait. After your moms tip, I use a stainless steel comb. I do this so that I’m not drying and setting any tangles. I just tried ur mom’s trick of using a stainless steel comb for combating static. Genius! I just purchased several more stainless steel combs. I comb out all tangles and my hair is left flowy, detangled without static! What?! Thank you ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

OMG, can I just say how much I LOVE and appreciate the thorough and incredible reviews you do (of everything), but especially of products like this that are more pricey and an "investment," it helps sooo much knowing all the details and ins and outs going in!! 💖😘 I also LOVE the history part you included at the beginning; I find that stuff so interesting, and my mom was also super knowledgable about the history of the hair and makeup industry. I think it's so cool and fascinating to learn about where and how all the things we have today originated! I still have my mom's original Dyson hair dryer from 2016 and her air wrap and they're truly unmatched! I remember her being a little skeptical initially but once she invested in them she said it made doing any client's hair a breeze regardless of hair type/texture. I still use them today and will have them forever, they work magic on my extensions especially! 🩷✨Your hair looks AMAZING (I love the Joan Jett rocker style on you, it looks so badass! 😝) and I can tell how nicely and healthy it's growing in! I'm in the same place with my hair, it's a little shorter than yours and still pretty fragile, recovering from all the bleach and "trauma" I've put it through. 🙃 I'm working on growing it back and getting it to a healthier place also (OGX argan oil is the SAVOIR of my hair, always!) but like you I don't like the length/style of my natural hair rn and don't like going out without my extensions in! 💁🏼‍♀🎀 My hair is naturally thin and pretty straight so I don't really need to invest in this tool, my og Chi flat iron is great for just smoothing out random wonky pieces and that's really the only straightening I ever need, but this looks seriously incredible for hair types that benefit from it! Your hair looks FABULOUS, and my mom used to do the dryer sheet trick on my staticky hair too! She would run them through my hair before school in the mornings! 🤣👩‍🦳👯‍♀🎀🌸😘

Oh my goodness honey reading this just got me so choked up and the biggest smile!!! You don’t know how much this means to me!!! I was editing all week and spent the last 72 hrs with no sleep to get this uploaded last night so reading these comments makes it all worth it!! You know how much I love editing and researching!! 🥰 You will really love be this straightener! Since I bought it haven’t used anything else and only need it every few days so my hair feels like it’s growing and thicker without all the excess heat damage! It’s amazing! Hi Kristi, just received my air straight. I LOVE it. One question I had is that I have baby hairs by my forehead hairline. I just wanted to know if I got a little sweaty there in the human weather can I re-wet them and dry my hair on a low speed on wet mode? Would that be damaging? Hi Lois! So excited you love it and thank you so much btw! That’s so sweet of you to say that!! 🥰 i get the same thing with my baby hairs! You’re absolutely fine even on dry mode the heat doesn’t get high enough to effect the cuticle. From what I’ve experienced and researched. To really prevent damage I would not do boost mode over and over but wet mode you will be fine! I re-wet with heat protection and leave in usually and sometimes my hairline gets wet in the shower and it only takes a second to do one pass and get them dry and smooth and my hair feels so healthy now!!! Hope that helps and I still always use heat protection as a safety net! Let me know how that works out for you and hope I helped lol! 😘❤️

Though I have ordered the Airstrait, I was skeptical on how to get body on the crown given similar bangs as yours. It was so helpful to understand how to use velcro rollers for volume. Oh honey I'm so happy that helped!! Layers don't fair well with the airwrap so yes you are absolutely right this is so much easier and better for the hair. I can't believe I'm done blowing out and smoothing my length in 10 min now and yes the velcro rollers are just my best friend and have been since they invented them! I use to sleep in them for decades. I'm surprised I didn't damage my brain all those years lol!! My mom use to sleep in hers too lol! Hope you're having a wonderful Weeknd!! 😘

​@@KristiAllureBeautyHi Kristi, I used the Airstrait for sides, back but not the crown. I pulled up the crown hair and clipped it out of the way.. Once sides were done, I used a regular dryer for the top which came out perfectly. I had the body that I needed plus rest of hair was straight. Hope this helps us short haired girls❤

I asked Dyson customer service what the temperature is for boost mode. They confirmed it’s 320 degrees Farenheit. Not 285. 285 degree F is the second temperature in dry mode before boost mode. (Dyson site: Touch-up or refresh your style from dry. Style at 250°F, 285°F (120°C, 140°C) or use the optional Boost mode for maximum styling impact)

I actually didn’t know 350 and up is when the cuticles become most damaged although I should have known considering that’s a pretty high temperature but thank you for sharing that! 320 boost definitely feels hotter so I only use it if I see any kinks at the roots. But I find if I do slow passes then I don’t need to use boost because when done right the hair looks pretty sleek without the need to use it! And sure I would love that haha! Sharing for short haired girls😘 I clipped the crown hair out of the way, straightened/dried with Airstrait for the sides and back of head. Once dry, I unclipped the top and blow dried as normal. It came out perfect 👌 The hair was straight but I had crown volume and bangs weren't super straight crazy looking 😂 The Airstrait works perfectly for short hair with some ingenuity😉

Btw I found out the correct way to pull down the filter on my own. You see the little indents, u shape above the filter on both sides. You put your thumb on one and index on other side (u) and pull it down. Comes off like a breeze 👌

Since purchasing this I have to use a blow dryer or anything else! I'm OBSESSED and my hair feels so healthy almost two weeks later. So much shinier and silkier!! You don't need a blow dryer with this tool! It's amazing! Hope that helps! 😘

My hair is crazy when there is humidity in the air, it goes puffy and goes upwards like Afro hair but I don’t have any black ancestors in my DNA just south Asian. I may need it but so expensive! Have a great day ❤🌈😘

Hi my beautiful glam sis!! My hair is horrible in humidity too! Thankfully we don’t get too much where I live but I love other parts of the us that are very humid so this is one o will be bringing for sure! I know it’s so expensive but in payments it made it easier and I know will be worth it. Time is something we can’t get back as we both know losing our loved ones and I vent believe how much this cut back my drying time and holds up through the days! @@KristiAllureBeauty I hear you, the drying time is crucial, I keep my hair just down my shoulders because when I had long hair it was so time consuming to blow dry and I cannot skip it due to how unruly and frizzy my hair is. When I went on holiday to Thailand it was my biggest nightmare because there is hot and humid, I couldn't live there, lol! Love your video! I bought this device, and the only thing that I am experiencing with it is at the core does not remain straight and it really ravels up. It makes it so much more challenging and annoying to use. I’m not sure if I received one that’s defective or this is normal. Just wondering if you notice that your cord does the same thing?

I’m thinking you got a funny one but you do have a 30day so definitely try a new one because it’s meant to be a nice a experience for that price tag! Did you get it at dyson? If so definitely contact them. Other retailers are super easy too for returns and exchanges in the US. I know Uk is a bit more challenging. Please let me know! Keep me posted on this because I want you to love it and not deal with that! My cord is like my other dyson the best cord I’ve ever had with my hot tools so good! I hope that helps! ❤️😘

Absolutely! Love my Airstrait so much!! 💙💙💙

The Dyson actually takes 60-70 minutes to fully charge it must be plugged in while charging. So even if it’s plugged in it will lose heat within a few minutes of being used. I exchanged it thinking it was faulty but nope. Support said that’s how it works. It was an expensive piece of crap. I returned it. I might repurchase it if Dyson fixes it because I do love a great flat iron but owning my Airstrait I can’t see myself using anything else. The Airstrait is fantabulous it really does give a salon blowout. I’ve never been able to achieve that at home. It truly is an All in one. It used to take me 1 1/2 hrs to do my hair. Blow dry then flat iron. It now takes me about 20 minutes with just 1 appliance. My hair is long down to almost my waist. My hair is left shiny and flowy! No heat damage. I bought one for myself and my dtr because she fell in love with it too. Im buying another one for travel. Yes, it’s that good. Worth every penny. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Good to know that about the dyson coralle thank you so much for sharing that Grace!! I really feel like my hair has improved so much since buying this Airstrait. It feels so much stronger and so much shinier and healthier looking!! This is the most incredible invention and I haven't picked up anything else!! LOVE mind so much too!!! I'm so glad your daughter gets to enjoy it too and what an amazing mom you are to get her one! I also truly believe it's worth every single penny!!! Like you it use to take me hours to do my hair when it was long and full and even with my short hair now it still took forever and this I'm done in like 10min! It's insane and time is precious! 😘❤

@@KristiAllureBeauty I used it a bit last night and I liked it a lot! I didn't do all my hair and curios if it will take frizz out of dry hair. Wish it wasn't so bulky! Where do you store yours? I have never had a dyson product.! Thinking of the one that curls. My hair is similar to yours but thicker.

Yes it absolutely takes the frizz out! I always use my ogx oil and it’s magic combo now! It’s in the description I mentioned in this video. That helps with frizz tremendously! I usually just keep it on my bathroom counter on the mat it came with or I store it in my drawer. I love my Dyson Airwrap for curling and I still use the round brush of the Airwrap to get my volume on top. I really only use this two hair tools these days! The best two purchases I’ve ever made! I just reviewed the latest version of the drain airwrap and it superseded the previous version! 😍

I honestly wouldn't be able to do get it if I had children. It's very tough right now. I'm buying a lot less than I did last year to review because it's too hard to keep up with all the new launches. I’m at home 99 percent of the time and work from home but this was a smart investment for sure for me. It’ll help me feel better about my appearance. Which is what I needed.

@raechel.oglesby awe I love that Raechel!! I work from home to and if it wasn’t for filming I would live in sweats no makeup and air dryed hair so I totally get it lol! But growing up with my cosmetologist mom who made me wake up two hours before school to get my school outfit together, my dance and gymnastics leotards worn matching accessories and shower and spend at least 20 min on my hair every morning since I could walk it’s been instilled in me lol! But my other half of me says no don’t do this to me anymore 😂!! I do give my hair more breaks now which is good for my very bleached hair but my hairdresser said I can tell you’re using Dyson because I have zero heat damage thanks to my Airwrap and Airstrait! 🙏🏻
