@@psycho-nutkase9233 I know what you mean, but go to .25 speed. When it starts it goes backwards. The reason why the rims look like they spin the other way depends on the framerate on a camera. High speed cameras capable of 1000+ fps will look normal. When they rim spins faster then the fps of a camera ( say 30 fps) it look like it goes backwards. But in this case, we are watching it from a very low rpm, so i think it is accurate to say the turbo is in reverse.

Trains, Bangs, and Automobiles I noticed that as well. The one guy even mentioned something about it. I think they need to check the wiring and try again. I've noticed that with vacuums the nossle is always smaller than the hose. Kinda like a tornado has a smaller end than at the top. It creates more suction. I also created a water hose nozzle that has a bowl with spirals going to a narrow opening. It creates amazing pressure. It almost sprays harder than my electric pressure washer. I'm no mechanic by any means however. I know how to change oil, tires, transmission fluid, putting freon in the air conditioning unit, changing map censors, O2 sensors, etc. I wish I knew more about automachanics though.

As a 20+ year master auto tech, I have to wonder if somehow the mass air system can’t handle the added incoming air and drastically changed the injector pulse width and then the computer retarded everything to prevent a lean condition leading to detrimental detonation. Just a thought as the possible cause of the reduced Horse power. Just wondering if tuning might help a little.

Hey guys! Hahahahaha! Fracking love y'all. I assume this was before the 2.5k turbo. So, I was once into radio control airplanes, & we had these drive systems called ducted fans. Like 4" inlets (wink wink) to simulate a jet. Well, for years I've thought ( cause I've followed my hobby and seen the rise of electrics) where's the electric ducted fan? ...and if it makes enough "thrust" (house power?) to fly, would it not boost? Never stop having fun, it's why I watch.

Is it just me, or when he turns the "turbo" on 17:53 (after it's hooked to the car) does it start spinning backwards? Not saying it would ever create boost period, but it would be funny if they had wired it up running in reverse. **** I started questioning if the camera was playing tricks with rotating objects like it sometimes does, but if you watch it at 13:26 you can see that looks as if it's spinning the correct way. Assuming the same camera was used for both parts it would appear that they did in fact have it hooked up backwards.

Dudes, you've unknowingly stepped into my realm now. I've been experimenting with electric supercharging since 2010. As you guys can probably guess, the displacement to turbo-size has a lot to do with the performance. I don't think what was bought was meant for an engine with as much displacement as the Mustang. It probably utilizes a bldc motor from the look of the controller so I've no doubt it can generate pressure, but it's limited in how much cfm it can deliver under pressure. Make an intake with one per cylinder and I'll bet you will see some positive numbers then. I currently drive a Novi 2000 Centrifugal with a 72v 250A Me 0913 bldc motor which puts out 96N/m of torque. It will boost my first gen. .060 over smblk Chevy by 5psi early in the band, but then it's all gone by red-line (which is OK for shifting). It's in a black 87' RS Camaro with a TKO-600 and a Dana 60. Matter of fact I just ordered new batteries for it and would love to try it on your dyno. Aren't you guys in Florida? I'm in Kissimmee.

Quite right. If I had to do it all over again I probably wouldn't but I sure surprise a lot of people with it.. When you're already on a roll the extra weight doesn't make so much difference, It's very efficient too.

Very cool, I think there is a lot of potential here. I think advances in fast discharge rate batteries will make it happen.

Me too. I've been keeping a sharp eye on Li-Po s, but they're still too much. I'm using six 50ah AGMs in series now, but I'm going from two bass boat on-board trolling-motor chargers to a 72v bank charger instead because they charge too fast. Constantly monitoring and keeping full voltage has been a major issue with it, but just from the over-time drain from the drive module pre-charge resistor, not from use. Typical duty cycle is less than 15 seconds. The bank charger should do a better job of keeping them all floating.

Try some super caps, should discharge quickly for a short burst

I think it should be tested for torque on acceleration that's before the engine reaches full rpm. It would not have a chance to supply enough air pressure/volume when the engine is near or at full rpm.

Just ordered mine, I can’t wait for it to get here. Once I saw “housepower” I ordered immediately without watching the rest of this science experiment.
