because you mentioned it... i have decided to get a engine back block ops exhaust and a matching OTR as the first upgrade to my ute.

Legend 👌 Thanks for confirming for me that the VCM/Harrop intakes are the same. I figure if I ever sell the Harrop logo would be easier to recognise as quality gear from someone not in the know
I've got a VF 6lt with hsv headers, lsa intake box and 2.5" system ending with vf2 bimodals. Definitely gets drone when the mufflers are open. Also definitely needs a tune but i like the maf being on there given its not a restriction. I will be doing a dod delete and then getting a tune. Just a mild cam, it's just a daily, no need for an aggressive cam.

I wouod still remove the MAF, theirs no advantage to keeping it and imo speed density is much better modelling.
My VE L76 only made 325rwhp with full exhaust, otr and tune.

Have you guys posted any vids on modified LS3 commodores running 6L90 trans and what could be done or should be done to add strength and reliability to it? My car is a modded WM grange making around 500whp and although that isn’t earth shattering I still like to drive it fairly hard when I get out of my Ute at the end of the week. Btw, another great vid🍻
Question regarding the OTR intake - I’ve got an auto with a OEM transmission cooler. How does the OTR intake go with these?
What were the torque differences
I heard black-ops ain't too bad but personally I have pacemaker extractors mild steel and xforce 3" stainless system with high flow cats along with massive cam flowed heads, ect, ect. I don't think it drones too much but it's fuckin loud anyway so 🤷
How much would this set me back?

Otr would be about $550 from memory. And for a black ops exhaust depends if you get it during a sale from $1300-$1800ish
If you’re doing a proper comparison you should be tuning it in stock form and then tuning it after the mods that way you’re comparing it to just the exhaust and intake

Not the aim of the video. Plenty of times we have shown the advantages of tuning them. This was to showcase the gains from these particular modifications over stock
100% they sound horrible with dod. My ve doesnt have it anymore cause it shit a lifter on my birthday
I think the people.who tuned my car don't know what they're doing.

These LS ECU's are very complicated and easy to make a dogs breakfast in there if you don't understand how they work. We see it all the time with cars that come through. Most of these people arent necessarily bad tuners either, in that they definitely understand dynamic engine systems and what they want. Just that the software and modelling on these OEM ECU's catch a lot of people out!

@@BoostGumps thanks guys...I have a 2010 VE SS with vcm480 can Harrop OTR and HSV tri-ys and I'm getting 251kw (330hp) after tune (what the actual f) you get far better figures!!

@@rydogg4000 yeh should be making more than that. Different dynos will read differently also though. There are lots of factors that can affect the numbers. The most important thing is the difference, the before vs after. This is why we always try make sure we show before runs prior to any modifications

@rydogg4000 holy shit I'd be getting it retuned somewhere else I'd expect 280 -340 rwks but not 250rwks but some dynos are heart breakers , I'd check it on another dyno for 80$ lol then retune if similar results
