I already played this version of this game, but yeah it's a wonderful game. Though I started with the Genesis original. This is pretty much a reskin, I forgot if there are some other minor difference. By the way, if you like this type of gameplay I'd highly recommend checking out Monster Boy and the Cursed Kingdom. It's the latest entry in the Wonder Boy series and it's damn good. Fantastic visuals, fantastic soundtrack, great gameplay (though a little bit slow at the start)... and the game is also pretty damm long. Just a casual run without focusing on collecting everything is pretty much 12-15 hours. You'll be looking at 20+ hours if you're gonna do a 100% run. And it's also moderately challenging, you'll die in no time if you don't watch it. As a fan of Wonder Boy games, I think Monster Boy is the best entry in the franchise (and that's quite a feat for a modern game to do).
