Thank you, this is so helpful! I wonder if you know what to do when there are spaces in your data table and column names? It only works when there are no spaces, and I'm unsure how to manage the spaces

Thank you! In general you should avoid spaces when creating columns. I would have to see what it can be done but a quick fix would be to create the columns again without a space, instead use an underscore.

Does the filter also work with power bi tiles from different data sets?

You are filtering the tiles in your dashboard directly. If the filter is possible in that dataset then yes, should not matter what dataset it is. But I haven’t tested it to be honest

You can do that by using the Row Level Security in Power BI. This will only show the data the user is allowed to see.
