I've always wanted a Texan, mainly to convert over to a Harvard trainer.
So this past September an opportunity to get a new to me AT-6 happened.
Today was my first time flying it.
I ditched the stock esc but other wise the plane is pretty original.
Had a lot of fun trying to balance the plane in the wind.
Definitely made for calmer weather.

Just a good tip on this plane Andre, i needed to put 3 ounces or 74 grams of weight in the very nose of this plane to get it to fly real stable and i opened up the battery bay to get 2200 4s batteries inside it...Wow its a Screemin Demon Now! went with a 40 ESC but kept using the original 950Kv Motor never had an issue with it yet of running to hot..im also using a 12x8 eflite propeller from the eflite cherokee 1.3 model.

Yep, I too had to add weight in the cowl. Swapped out the ESC for good measure while I was in there.
You are canadian so it a Harvard !!!

Next time I'm at the hardware store I'll get a few cans of paint. Or maybe try the airbrush. 🤔

Per looneytunes47 below will try and put extra weight in the 3S battery compartment - forward of the battery.

I lined the front cowl with wheel balancing weights.
I see you flying at Stinson again... A bit too windy for me
