Same here replayed it six times, loved nightmare difficulty.

Dying Light is a perfect example of developers fully enjoying what they’re wanting to make and having that freedom to make it. I wish more studios had that mindset

I believe there's a theory of Crane being the enhanced zombie that you play as in the multiplayer mode since the shrieking noise that it does is eerily similar to the noise he makes in one of the endings of DL:TF, he became the very thing he wanted to destroy.

I have a theory that the virus might have mutated inside Crane's body when he was bitten at the first time. Not an advanced form of mutation that can make him a superhuman but increased his speed and agility.

Loved this game, me and my buddies went through it a few times and the last time we played it we goofed around and went at the big guys with nothing but kicks. Having 3 Cranes circling a guy and kicking the crap out of him was hilarious all while the intense super serious music was playing. I loved the ambience, especially at night when you'd hear the infected howls in the distance, much more surreal at night than when you'd hear them in the day time.

The first one was an instant classic. The storyline was excellent. Wish they would have kept it going.

@@adrianalicea6704 I've heard that compared to the first game, Dying Light 2's parkour feels quite floaty. Is this true? If yes then I prefer Dying Light 1's parkour, as It feels real and fun to jump around from building to building while seeing a ton of infected on the streets. Seriously, there are so many more zombies at night and during the day in DL1.

The best zombie game I've ever played. Can't wait to play the sequel tomorrow.

@le_monke ...I mean, it was OK. But unfortunately, I didn't live up to the expectations. The choices were very one sided, when I was expecting more of a grey area. One choice in particular was very stupid if you asked me. The payoff isn't satisfying. With the first game, it at least ends on a good note for the future(not talking about the Following but like those endings). But here? There's no reward. Just saving a rotting city you've only lived in for at most a month, I think. Only to leave it behind(depending on the ending, you either leave alone or with someone). I was hoping that it would be so much more than what we got.

@1aiya I agree. I mean, it was still mildly entertaining, but it should've been better. Branching narratives. A new setting. Factions. But they never did anything good with any of it. Most of the NPC's I either am indifferent to or consider to be terrible people. One Faction isn't even a real Faction. It's just ordinary people with no structure or ideology. The other Faction is one that I can actually support, except it's just a typical portrayal of a fascist police force. The Renegades are just the bad guy Faction that you loosely team up with through Juan or Javier, or whatever that guy's name was. None of the endings gave me any satisfaction or hope in Villador. Even the so-called "Good Ending" feels like nothing actually changed, and people are just going about their lives as usual. Aiden's sidestory really wasn't compelling at all, and I only started to get interested in it with Waltz and Aiden acting like Volatiles. That led to nowhere. Dying Light deserved a far better sequel.

I loved this game. I feel like it's one of the best zombie games out there. You don't get to just gun them down, but you get to hit them to bone crunching sound effects, slide into them causing them to fall over, dropkick them off a building and so on. When it turns to night, that watch alarm going off just sounds off the impending death you've caught yourself in cause why weren't you at base before night!!??

One thing to consider. A game made by a team with TRUE passion, determination and a goal. It's the ideal form of a MASTERPIECE.

I love the exploration and mobility of the first game. Combat was kinda janky though, especially with guns. Still probably one of the best zombie games out so far and I can't wait for dying light 2

@@slightlyamusedblackkidfrom9153 yes but the combat and movement system in Mirrors edge catalyst actually worked with the movement system. Dying feels like the system is bare bones on both ends.

A top 5 game of all time for me. The balance of raw, brutal, and realistic combat/physics with an awesome parkour system alongside the best day and night cycle. My hype for this game was immense. And I love it to this day.

You neglected to mention one of the absolute best things about this game... *The Score*

I don't know how Crane can concentrate in comprehending every details given to him while parachuting out of the plane. I could probably forget every instructions if I was in his situation.

this game is phenomenal. the soundtrack is one of my all time favorites its so good.

It's 4 in the morning here and I'm so hyped and waiting for part 2 and I loved part 1. Thanks for covering this game although even though you mostly focus on movies. Keep up the good work!

I'm so happy you're making a video on DL it's absolutely become one of my favorite games of all time I've done countless runs and it's always as fun as the first

Love witnessing this game receiving the love it deserves. I saw in its earlier days how people used to hate it and I believe some still do but damn witnessing the steam rating go from mixed to overwhelmingly positive is such a great honor.

Same things happening with the second. People giving it unwarranted hate and bandwagoning without forming their own opinions. I imagine in a year, when the bugs are all gone and Techland show the love they gave the first game, that those same people will either play it and actually manage a unique opinion, or continue to be sheep and follow year old hate.

For me its nr. 1 video game. Absolutely Must have.

I have more fun playing this game than the 2nd one, I feel I was much more invested in this one. The music was better, the game play so far was more addictive. I'm still having fun with 2 but the first is king.

Just watching the intro makes me want to binge play this game again

I cannot even remember how many days my dad and I kept playing this since we got it all those years ago. So damned fun, I even made several friends through the multiplayer. The movement and most of the combat are addicting, and the untold hours I've spent just parkouring and occassionally deployables and fighting on the move will forever be in my heart and mind. Gotta love reaching the point when you've got so much that you just spam mines in the coastal town in The Following and just let the cash, resources, and fun come flooding in.

I dunno if this was mentioned before but Dying Light imo had the better trailers coz it actually showcased what you can possibly do in game. The trailer with the music "Run Boy Run" summed up what you would expect in the game.

I remember seeing this game for the first time when I was just in 4th Grade. The visuals are done well and the narrative got me hooked. I'm glad the sequel is worthy of being called a sequel to this gem.

I absolutely LOVED everything about this story and hope to see Kyle crane in the next game as an antagonist or the night hunter as that would make sense in my case considering he was the one who started the outbreak thus leading to the next game

This is probably one of the best of not the best zombie games I've played.. I love how you have several ways to either avoid or fight the Zombies, and how you can be creative with it.. Playing it on Switch and I like the fact that the Switch version has Local play

Dying light 2 is the first game i’ve pre ordered in years. Just had an update saying its arriving in the next 2 hours. Nice weekend treat for me when i get home from work 👌🏻 can’t wait to sneak around at night with beads of sweat dripping off me 😂

Love your reviews, you've excellent taste. Also, I'd suggest playing DL with no weapons, mano-a-mano only. It's extremely fun, and it's a nice way to retribute the very entertaining video you've posted for us.

I discovered it on switch on sale with all the dlc for 20. Needless to say i was more than satisfied. Some of the missions are so epic, some are straight out of a horror movie. It can be fun and it can be intense and the enemies are really dangerous if youre not smart. I love it and ill be playing it for a while

I sure hope you wil break down the lore of the GRE and all what it has to do with the virus in Dying light 2, would be very interesting :)

Been playing dy2 since release and im just having a 5 min break to eat, prefect video to watch lol.

I just got so much nostalgia right now.

This is the best way I can imagine to get ready for dying light 2 !

I played this and gosh I never went out at night and the one intense mission going through a tunnel with the mutants was an experience.

For those that don't know, seems it was released a bit early, been available on steam since 7pm today.

From watching this synopsis, the story makes dying light 2 so much sadder. The fact that despite everyone’s efforts and a cure basically being made, the world still fell. Truly horrifying when you really think of it

I love any RPG where it's you against that world!

I had a friend let me play the game for an hour, bought it that night. Played through the game twice and done all the DLC, Fantastic experience and gameplay.

I ignored this game for 7 years and then I bought The Following Edition, I loved it so much.

This music is so awesome

Can't wait to play the sequel. The original was a masterpiece

This game is so good that the most expensive version that you could buy came with parkour lessons, packs of adult diapers, an xbox one, the change of getting put in the game as a zombie or npc in the future and a bit of real money on top of it

I so wish they had continued the dead island series with a serious tone instead of letting the franchise drift into goofiness and then oblivion. I still regularly do playthroughs of riptide

In my personal opinion Kyle crane was slowly becoming a super infected and the reason for this was due to the unique antison form in which he had was drugged with not to mention that before this he had already been stimulating the virus inside his body little by little you know all those tonics you can make that Grant you increase speed increase damage absorption and all that good stuff well imagine that the virus is interacting with the chemicals found in the tonic as a result it's stimulates certain proportions of the virus granting you a small sense of strength so when he finally gets there and inhales this different form of antism it starts to affect the virus and the virus having already been stimulated beforehand by all the different tonics he slowly mutates into a super zombie the rocky skin damage resistance the acid spit toxic legion if you take a look at the chemicals used in the making of your tonics you'll realize that each one of them is a representation of the night hunters abilities so I believe that the night Hunter is in fact Kyle crane the only reason he became the night Hunter is due to him having stimulated the virus in many different ways but that's my opinion have fun enjoy life

Basically the mother is a crazy half zombie. Kyles infection is near complete, and you get the choice to either detonate a nuke or leave the city. If you detonate it, obviously everything dies. If you dont, kyle crawls out of a sewer drain into the daytime. But his skin starts burning. He looks down and has claws instead of hands, the game ends with half zombie kyle looking at a mother and kid before letting out a night hunter scream

The story is very impressive, got hooked to it.

Can’t wait for the update from number 2 . The virus is much different and has evolved .

I love this game and the second one is my current favourite game

The game is one of my all time favorites! Hope you are enjoying your time in the game world.

What a masterpiece of a game.

Dying Light 2 is good, but it still needs plenty of bug fixes & refinements. There are also elements of DL2 that are missing that were present in DL1, which may piss off some fans. There are no more firearms except a one-shot pistol like weapon that is limited in use, and weapons can no longer be repaired, and other elements. However clothing is now used as armor and has various traits that didn't happen in the previous game and there is now a para-glider, among other things. If you are willing to accept its flaws while waiting for patches, then get it...but if you want a more complete game then I suggest waiting for either its been fully patched or wait for a Complete edition.

I can't wait to play the sequel, tho I am going to wait for maybe a 'the following' included version, so I get the entire experience. I have to give the props to the devs for supporting DL 1 for 7 years. N

Imagine they add be the zombie again and finally confirm that Crane is the night hunter. That'd be amazing. We know he has to be out there somewhere since Spike didn't die meaning the nuke endings are the mom Canon ones

I really wish Techland would give the ACTUAL *Hellraid* another go. It was looking awesome AF in the few gameplay demonstrations they released. The fact that they turned it into a Dying Light _DLC_ was like a slap to the face and damn near turned me completely against the whole Dying Light franchise as the thing that buried Hellraid. Which it likely DID do.
