My man is a man of few words as well and a sweetheart like yours. Same here weather wise but snow isn't gone. Spring keeps flippin us the bird HA. That's a really cool idea...the whole "commission" thing with John. These are all looking SUPER interesting so far!!! Nice pile...means you two got a lot of work done :) Caffeine withdrawal symptoms can be terrible. There's some great braids in there. I'll have to tell you my faves later after they're named and in the shop lol.

I think the "One Word" inspiration suggestion for John is a great idea for dying wool.

I find it so interesting that when I watch the colour choices I sometimes think hmmmn that makes me uncomfortable and then I see the finished product and I am blown away in love with the colour combos! This dyeing video is delight to watch - so many different methods to learn from and great to see John getting in on it too. I am going to track down some of those bain marie trays as they are perfect for dyeing :)

Ok 2 things I’m taking away from this video (as I learn and experiment with dying my fibres) I need to be more confident and saturate the wool. And also to play around with how I orientate the top in the pan. 👍🏻👍🏻

You both came up with some beautiful color combos. I just recently bought a heddle loom and am currently working on my first project. My ultimate goal is to spin some yarn and make something from that yarn. No room for a spinning wheel but I do have a drop spindle. You're a great inspiration. Wonderful to see your passion come out and to have a husband who shares that passion with you.
