Thanks so much for giving Dwerve another try! Regarding progression, story progress unlocks hero abilities and turrets. Later on, you'll use the scrap you collect to purchase turret upgrades - each turret has its own upgrade tree! Glad you enjoyed it!

I remember this game from way back when Splatty played it. It looks great! I love the balance of the battles. It really looks like you took your time to get it right. Not too hard but not a cake walk. I’m looking forward for the release!

@@AustinIuliano Sounds like an in game item boosting movement speed might be your top priority if you were to play it.

Beards with no mustache are a particular thing -- since the fashion was that military men wear mustaches, the anabaptist churches like Mennonites and Quakers adopted the look to advertise their pacifism.

A note about your real life bees. If you ever want to give them a treat or really keep them away, make some sugar water and put it in a spray bottle and spray it around plants or places they go near and the will just adore you!

The wider appeal isn't strictly nostalgic, stylized pixel art like this is objectively attractive and timeless. I have young kids and they love games like the Kingdom series, Webbed, Children of Morta, Hyperlight Drifter, etc. It's easy to appreciate something pretty, whether it's nostalgic or not. They'll crow for me to play Baba Is You just because they think Baba is cute. There's irony in an entire generation of games lauded for graphic fidelity aging graphically while many, "retro" games of the same era could be released tomorrow and acclaimed on the basis of their game play.

I started gaming in 2021 and lots of the games I played and enjoyed are in this pixilated style, I don't like it being too pixilated however and it all depends on the gameplay

I don't mean pixel artish games in general. I've decribed it wrong with retro visuals. I mean there are a section of pixelated games which have a direct inspiration from some older games. Like a couple of days ago SplatterCat was playing with this game called Nightmare Reaper. That game very much seems to be inspired by wolfenstien 3d (not even just on a visual level), and this is what I'm trying to refer to. That these games kind of ring a bell to those who played the games that were inspiring these ones. I kind of already feel familiar with these games without even playing with them. So my point is that some of these games simply appeal to me just because they resemble some game which I enjoyed a lot when I was a kid. But actually I agree with you both it can appeal to anyone regardless of age it's just some of them appeal to us for slightly different reasons.

Looks interesting. Would probably wait for a sale on it though.

I hate Honey Dew myself but my grandparents own a winery in Canada and I was shocked by how good the Honey Dew Wine and Mead were

I think they were going for Dwarves building stuff and integrated it in combat

Wasn't there a game very similar to this? I remember something about a game very similar to this style of building towers but I think you exchanged between characters and I think it was a platform game but it was the same mechanic of building towers and they attacked for you, does anyone know which one it is?

Is there a sprint or run? If not it would def be a nice quality of life addition n since it's still being developed could still be implemented. It has potential n I like the mobile tower defense idea. I hope there's visual representation when you upgrade the turrets that'd add some extra umphh

Different, but interesting. I like tower defense and RPGs. Always get a bit sketched out any time a developer puts a difficult tag, though. I don't want to be frustrated.

GOOD honeydew and cantaloupe have lots of amazing flavor....but if you're getting them in mixed chopped fruit packs or whatever, you're probably not getting good ones. (Or if you aren't good at picking the right ones from the store...) maybe go to a farmer's market in mid to late summer and get some fresh!
