@@scl9671 Not sure. Those zombies have like 30 attack and 50 damage each. Plus a loooot of health. Plus physical resistance. So melee infantry would get hurt a lot.

I find it more likely that the items they can make from the system would get removed from the fuse system. Or they could somehow give an item made from oath gold a data tag that would prevent it from being applicable to the fuse system

Dawi no longer have access to the fuse mechanic. In an interesting development, though, all Skaven get access to a mechanic that trades food for magic items, can fuse those items, then recycle them for more food than they started with. How odd.

@@aprinnyonbreak1290 It would be the core mechanic of the new Skaven v Dawi DLC where Skaven get the new food-magic item mechanic and about 6 new cavalry, single entity, and elite infantry units The Dwarfs get a tavern keeper that has pathetic stats and can summon one unit of half-naked drunks that are less effective than zombies Edit: And then they'd nerf the dwarf unit in a week

Someone who sits for hours there and does this cycle, has all right to get some oathgold

Removing a grudge without getting the grudge fulfilled that is a grudge, this is simply superior dwarven craftsmanship. So now we have 2 grudges and no grudges filled

Archaeon's 1million gold start, now Thorgrim's 1million Oathgold start.

Honestly I hope they don't remove this because with how much time it takes it feels fair to me. Work the forge get rewarded.

@@enggigg6644 the dark elves alone had like a dozen exploits for infinite money and items because of the (in my opinion) poorly designed loyalty mechanic, yet they'll probably never touch that unless legend covers it. (Even though it is poor design I actually really like the loyalty thing though not gonna lie)

It's not about the oath gold. It's about the ability to custom outfit every dawi lord and hero with potions of healing, wardsave, bound spells, etc. Invest an hour to grind items and you are basically set for the campaign.

You could feel him trying to speed through the campaign to get the oathgold but getting caught up in actually playing it.

I feel like this could be turned from an exploit into a deliberate and pretty interesting mechanic by somehow making it harder to do (or at least limited in how much it can be done per-turn), but also significantly more profitable. As an exploit, this seems kinda mediocre because of how slow it is, but the Dwarfs being able to use a combination of their unique Forge mechanic and the fusion mechanic everyone gets to create powerful magic items is an amazing idea imo.

Why tf would they make this dumb tedious exploit a deliberate part of the game? The whole point of the forge in the first place is to give dwarfs their cool way to get magic items like lore. This dumb exploit isn't cool, you just want something that makes dawi stronger like a cheat....

I doubt it The efficiency is too bad You need two identical types of items, so there's a good chance for dupes and even when you get what you want you make a mere 10 oathgold profit

It's definitely worth it so long as you only need a little bit to deck out someone that needs items, but really the forge system as a whole is pretty much worth ignoring just because by the time you get items that make any difference to your guys your getting to many guys to deck out and so it kinda becomes well who might need to be stronger, but if your playing the dwarfs right it'll be none of em cause it's really easy to get enough guns that anything except the most unlikely of scenarios will stop you

@@gbereznyakov1 the issue isn't turn time it's the time to actually do it, it takes a long time to actually build something, cause the animation can't be skipped and it kicks you out of the menu, if you were able to quickly build 10 items it'd be worth it to mess around with, instead it's not

There is a easy fix that also buff dwarf at the same time: make green and blue items cost less gold to forge while also recycle for less. Green item should cost 60 oath gold and recycle for 40. Blue item cost 120 oath gold to forge and recycle for 80.

Easier fix is just to price blue items at 180, as then they return for 120 so no profit. Being able to get the item you wanted feels like the whole point of the forge, so that part is fine (and yet still requires considerable time and patience).

I love this! These are my favorite kind(s) of exploits, where they aren't based on a bug in the game, and also require time investment so it isn't always worth it to even do. Just makes for something fun to mess around with.

This feels like one of those if you are willing to put the effort in you deserve the tiny amount of gains. Its not much of a boost (as far as exploits go) and takes a good amount of time. I do have a feeling this is one of those easy enough to fix that it will go away not all that far from now.

I've found a potential research speed exploit for Dwarves. Ancestral Blood - Grungni gives 5% research speed even after you hire and disband them. It takes a while to get the numbers up there at 5% each, but given enough time and luck you can fly through the research tree much faster.

Spend time to generate powerfull runic items. This is a real dwarf mechanic

that one legendary lord that don't even need to use oath gold to make stuff and sell them for money.

Feels thematic that the most craft-proficient race gets the best items early.

Easiest fix is raising the 30% recycling penalty to 40 or 50, which makes it so only purple items or higher are worth recycling indefinitely.
