My Belgian school insists on speaking only Nederlands, so I never understood what do they really mean, I had to memorise!! I use SoFT KeTCHuP, but there are also some books that use 't ex-kopschip. I think that's much more difficult to remember, haha.

What is the difference in the word "doen" it translates to gedaan without t/d

The verb 'doen' is irregular. It conjugates like this: PRESENT TENSE: ik doe hij doet wij doen PAST PARTICIPLE gedaan (Example sentence: "Ik heb niets gedaan.")

Deze heb ik nog niet. Learning irregulars is mostly memorizing, I'm afraid. If you look at the list of irregulars, you can see some verbs working in a similar way, so it can help to try to put them into groups according to your own logic. Hope that helps. 😬

Dat is een goed idee. Ik ben nu nog bezig met A2 en B1 onderwerpen, maar daarna is dit een goede optie.

Your way of explaining is very helpfull . You should make more videos . And also if you can one day make a video about how to use the Wq+ever of english into dutch . I would be very thankfull. Because it is hard to find about that on youtube. You can take( whatever ) you want (Whoever )went there is fine by me You can choose (wichever) you want I know already how to use wie ) hoe wanneer etc but not the ones of the english language with wq + ever . Thanks for this video though

"I have worked" and "I worked" are used in different situations in English because they have different nuances. Is it the same between "ik heb gewerkt" and "ik werkte" ?

Hoi Mochela, ja, dat klopt. That goes for all verbs. The use of the different past tenses is not the same in English as in Dutch.

For leven we look at the V of leven, so it will be geleefd. ;) The same happens with the z-s change: reizen: ik heb gereisd.

Dankjewel! Correct, gegeven doesn't follow the rules, so therefor it is irregular. Unfortunately there are quite some of those stubborn irregular verbs that don't to follow our rules, haha.

I think " 't sexy fokschaap" would be easier to remember than Soft Ketchup and it gives you the x too (used in imported verbs).

I guess it depends on the student and their language background which of those is easier to remember. The x is indeed missing in Soft Ketchup. In my lessons I just mention it, but normally at level B1 the only verb with an x that comes up is 'mixen'. ;)

Aren’t you gonna tell wor how and why for some of a few of wor past particles in Dutch make wor use “zijn”? Like if I wanna say; “I’ve been to Gateshead” Why is it; “Ik ben naar Gateshead geweest”? Is it because it IS “to be” that’s I’ve been to Gateshead? XD You’ve heard of Gateshead before haven’t you? Newcastle’s Southern neighbour across the river Tyne! XD And I’m from Sunderland! XD

I was thinking of doing a separate video about that, but in the end it actually comes down to memorizing a list of verbs that always take zijn and a few other cases.. so I'm not yet sure what to do with that to be honest. :p
