An amazing blue eyed soul singer. The most beautiful woman ever who's voice flowed like silk.and she didn't believe any of this. I wish I could have an opportunity to see her sing in concert! Guess the tabloids were more interested in her private life than her singing! So sad she couldn't be left alone to enjoy her life instead of hounded by the press.amazing lady. Its august 2023 and l am amazed by this woman! She put everything into her music and it shows! This video and this song thrust Dusty right back to the top! There will never be anyone to replace her! Her music lives on thru the people that love her! Rip beautiful lady!❤

One of my mom's favorite songs.. She used to dance throw the whole house to this when I was a little kid.. I guess I have my good taste of music from her.. Thanks mom😘

All they really did was to give her the sort of platform that she had been looking for. Dusty had always wanted to do this kind of music but never really had the opportunity until as you so rightly said Neil & Chris gave her that foundation. Chris is such a whiz when it comes to the synthesizers he really knows what he's doing. The sad thing was that we lost Dusty Springfield when she was still only 59, not particularly old at all but she died of breast cancer. However I am glad that she had the chance to do the album with the PSB. RIP Dusty Springfield. We love you.

Great song from 1990. What a year. 15, with no worries and the best childhood. I dream that one day we can go back.

She's a lady...

As a child of the 60s, Dusty was a mainstay. Over her thirty career, she just got better. In my all time top five. Still miss her very much.

Amazing song from a great talent. May she rest in peace

I have always recognised the similarity between the 60s and the 80s. Both decades were unique. Both decades had an energy that wasn't present in other decades. Both decades were extraordinary. Another aspect to the 80s is that it featured so many 60s icons who were still delivering class music like this particularly special song from beautiful Dusty. For people like myself, born just after the 60s had ended, it was awesome to live through the 80s and get to experience some of what made the 60s so special.

The main difference with 80's music was that music technology became more advanced. Thumpier and faster baselines, distinctive sax with piano. Add that to a 60's style song and you're probably right.

I don't know why this woman touches my heart in such a violent way. This song makes me happy and sad at the same time. To me, she's a true icon. A true human being. Ant that voice. How much I miss her as an artist and as a beacon of hope.

First song I ever remembered. It took me more than a decade to find it again. And only 2 decades after that - that is me today - I listen to all her songs and I just can't stop. ❤

I LOVE Dusty's performance in this video. She looks better than all the silly posturing models half her age. She really has grasped video by the scruff and made it her own...Gorgeous and Glamorous and Just SENSATIONAL! THE WORLD IS MISSING HER!

Dusty was so sick during these times but amazingly she kept in there, brave, talented lady that she was. We that loved you for all that you were, salute you. Rest in Peace Great Lady.

garry hastings NOT TRUE!! This song from the "Reputations" album was recorded in 1989. Dusty was diagnosed with breast cancer in 1995. After a year of remission, the cancer returned and ultimately claimed her life in 1999 at the age of 59.

+Lee 7 She only took drugs in the early 70s, cleaned up in 76. Her 78 album is fantastic if you ever find it.

While in California she recorded at least two Lp's. The fantastic "Cameo" LP with the songs 'Tupelo Honey' and 'The other Side of life' and the best one "EASY EVIL". Also, she recorded "It Begins Again" Lp in 70's and I think some others. So, while she lived in the then accepted drug culture of California in the 70's she was still recording and also did some amazing t.v. appearances and Supper Club performances. My favorite live performances are of "Since I Fell For You" on two different shows.

She is fantastic and well done to the great Pet shop boys for making this happen

She had bipolar and was in the closet, at least publicly. That must have been hard. But she was class. And, had quite the sense of humour too. She used to do back up singing under the pseudonym "Gladys Thong".

Both of her Parents were Irish, her ashes where scattered by her brother Tom o Brien in Henley Uk and the Cliffs of Moher R O Ireland. RIP Dusty

Whenever I feel down I watch Dusty, she always cheers me up, such a great , great talent. Come to think of it whenever I feel happy I watch Dusty, she makes me feel happier.

I grew up with this beautiful lady`s music and this song is my absolute favourite - I will love her for ever, RIP my unique lady xxx

One of the best voices ever. And the PSBs brought some of the "Wall of Sound" feel to this production. The bois would hang from the rafters when this song came on in the clubs. And...many of us in that generation totally identified with the lyrics. This was before the time when it was "OK to be gay" in large cities. Some guys you knew from the clubs would ignore you when we were all in business suits the next Monday morning.

A very great song. Dusty had the ability to bridge the 60s and the 70s. A great loss indeed.

She was my Queen and Elvis my King thank you for that wonderful music through all this year's 💋💗

dusty will always be around she is one of those singers that gets better as time goes on she may be gone physically but in our hearts and souls she will be alive and I met her two years before she passed and she was so nice and genuine and we chatted for a whole hour and was charming and her love came out of her and all because I said hello and I love your voice and music she chatted with me . this lady was a real gem and will be greatly missed but will live on in our hearts and souls thank you for posting this

we just chatted about our favorite music and artists as well as just having tea and cake and she said it was so nice to meet a very genuine fan like me and I said the one who is truly genuine was you and you are very sweet and kind to allow me to chat and sit down with you and have tea and cake with you . she gave me a hug and kiss and I told her you are wonderful and will always be in my heart and she started to tear up and I do think she knew at that time she was sick but never let on thank you again for the post

Came across this song a few years back. Not heard many songs from Dusty but this is one of my favourites. Total legend that lives on through her songs.

Back in 95 this song already belonged to the category "Classics" in the radio station I worked for. A great job.

The song, his voice, are faboulous. But also her look and stylism for that video are an 80's fashion peak. Congrats for her sylist.

The LEGENDARY DUSTY! My favorite songs I think are the ones she recorded in 60's and early 70's. But happy she made a comeback with Pet Shop Boys. There was no genre she couldn't cover. She did it all folk, jazz, pop, disco, standards, MOTOWN.

A brilliant pop song. Sung by one of the greatest singers of all time.

this is very true1 reminds me of a certain part of my lifeI was in an abusive relationship (My interpretation of the song anyway) but the words ring home to me. He always acted different when we was in public, but as soon as things became private it was a different story! This song empowers me now! I have come from that dark place 3 years ago and bcome a much stronger, happier person! Thank you Dusty! for making a piece of music I can relate too 1000% xxxx
