Dustin’s fighting is his 2nd best skill.. his first is his character… This man has old fashioned class.. & you can’t buy that..👍
What a story if Gaethje pulls is off, gets the strap and these guys run a trilogy. Both guys have improved so much, both guys tonight were warriors. Respect.

Multiple fighters were never the same after getting beat by Justin. Two Tony and Vick, were shells and never the same again. That being said Dustin is old, he got ko’d and out classes by Justin. Odds are he can’t beat Charles or the champ or Connor. It’s over
Class Act ... both of them. Dustin & Justin. Great fighters & awesome dudes. RESPECT

I wouldn’t be surprised if this quote will be used and referenced a lot in years to come .
"where I come from I've already won"! That's an awesome statement right there brother! Proud of you Dustin!
Did say the loser of this fight would retire, geathje needed it more poirier already had win over him and more rich than 99% of the rooster probably second richest next to Conor so doesn't need it as much He was coming in with a if I win get a title shot if not oh well, where as gaethje really needed this and losing this fight would ruin his retirement and possibly his life so he wasn't trying to lose and knew he was going to flatline Dustin for sure just shocking to see it the way it happened
sad to see Dustin go out like that but it can happen to any great fighter at this level and he is truly great. He got caught with a perfectly timed kick that would have knocked anyone out. Hope he is ok and makes a full recovery. Hats off to Justin Gaethje on an awesome win over a future hall of famer

It wasn't as brutal as it coulda been. He went limp but never fully out. He blocked a lot of the impact but the foot wrapped around and hit him on the back of the head. Probably didn't need the last punch but Herb got there fairly quick.
Justin saying, "It's not cool to be acquainted with this feeling" but him taking it head on is a pro move. Respect.

I know he lost tonight but this dude is a badass. I can't imagine how hard it must be to sit down and answer questions like this after a loss but that's part of this business. Mad respect to Dustin and Justin - they both seem like cool humble dudes who have worked their ass off to get to where they are.
He needs to fight either the winner of Fiziev & Gamrot or Beniel & Arman, he can’t sit on his ranking and expect a title shot after coming off a loss.
@Sinisterkid34

What about this interview lead to you believe that he’s just gonna sit on it? He said he doesn’t know what he wants to do and doesn’t wanna fight up and comers. I think he knows his title aspirations are over now.
Dustin Poirier is a freaking stand up guy. So much respect to him.
What a general. Man does all he does philanthropy wise, and has the stones after a brutal strike like that to stand tall. They don’t make too many like him 👌 well done Dustin. However you move, never change brotha 👌
Dustin has earned the right to do what he wants, he's a future HOF and only puts on great fights. Plenty of fun matchups like a Conor quadrilogy, Gaethje trilogy, Diaz if he does come back and fun fights at Welterweight.
Dustin is a terrible winner. Talks trash after all his wins and has zero class. Very happy he got what he deserves

Hall of famer an legend!!
Conducted himself like a man, Big Respect! I love the scenario with Justin goes on To Do special things and comes back to visit Dustin.
This is the beauty of MMA, anybody can go down out of nowhere, love this sport and much respect to Justin & Dustin
@9:32 - Dumbest question I've ever heard at a press conference. The reporter must be a newbie because Dustin has always pulled on his shorts legs his whole career!! SMH For him it is the same as the old boxers who would swipe their nose with their thumb as they bounced around.

I have loved seeing Dustin evolve over the years as a fighter and as a man.
Class act. We love you here in Lafayette Justin. You make all of us better with your giving and example. Thank you man!
Dustin Poirier is not a champiobship fighter..He will not, never and ever and ever and ever and forever....
Its great to see how much respect Justin and Dustin have for each other as they've both agreed to not do a trilogy and keep it 1-1 both knocking each other out! That shows how much they actually like and respect each other by wanting to keep it in their legacy at 1 each!
Wild take - The sound quality of these interviews is better on MMA Junkie's KZread page rather than on the UFC's KZread handle ✌️
Much respect to dp on doing this interview can’t say this about many other fighters would love to hear from to t ferg sad seeing this
No shame losing to Gaethje, Be proud of yourself.
what a Mac. Two of my favorite fighters. Massive respect
What a true warrior…
He's a class act and one hell of a fighter. The shorts question at the end had me laughing 😂 I've always said if it weren't for the shorts, he'd have the belt.

Nothing but respect to dustin man.. so sad to see him get knocked out like that. He still has the skills amd ability tho so id be sad to see him leave. One of the most exciting fighters ever
Lotsa ufc fighters get surprised by kicks; Justin is not a kicker; that was a surprise high kick.
Stay strong buddy, you are one of the best fighters out there, so close to the belt. I believe you'll get it soon
I still cannot believe Justin got that kick in so perfect, mad respect.
Mad love for this guy
Classy guy. So good for the sport and for martial arts. Glad to see him looking healthy.
true champion hope one day he holds the belt before retirement. He has been around for years and deserve every bit of it.
Dustin absolutely is not a man when he wins
How could you not love Dustin & Justin. Full respect to both men! ❤
Great interview, you Sir, and Justin are class acts
Being from Louisiana and a huge fan of Dustin poirier this was heartbreaking, I had a bad feeling about this fight though and when I woke up at midnight I didn't want to see the results and waited till the morning cuz it would have ruined my sleep last night
I just love him, he is definitely a winner in life
Hard not to love and appreciate somebodies passion.

Respect to Dustin! Champion 💯!👊🏽
Poiriers a great example of a real sportsman
Nothing but respect for Dustin Poirier
💥Poirier is a great class A guy. I have major respect for him as a fighter and his person
I love Dustin. Always a classy guy. Bummed about the loss but that’s fighting and it just takes one shot to put you to sleep.
One of the best ever. Pure class.
Love his outlook
“That would really tie the room together” is such a brilliant little dustin nugget. Lol

Love this dude
DP all Aces man don't even trip. Well done and well deserved JG.
Loved the Lebowski reference. Dustin is awesome. He’ll be back. We need the trilogy.
Never thought I'd see Poirier falling stiff like that. Also, that last guy has clearly never seen a Dustin Poirier fight before 🙄
I like both fighters for their skills and accomplishments in fighting. I was hoping DP would win but it’s fighting and things can happen. Justin is tough and it will be exciting to see his next move.all the best to DP….👍
One of the classiest dudes in the sport
Losing to Justin is not a bad thing.
Your attitude makes you a champion in my eyes
Dustin is still a winner in my eyes along with Gaethje. Total respect to both fighters.
Was glad to see him up and moving around well pretty quickly afterwards. Shit happens, he got caught with a nice kick.
Dustin Poirier is why I love the UFC.
I’m a fan of both but gaethje is my favorite UFC fighter. But Poirier took his loss like a real man and didn’t make any excuses and have gaethje his props. I’d really like to see a 3rd fight in the future. Especially if one of these guys become champ.
This was a very classy and vulnerable interview. I don't like DP, but he held himself very well here.
Love this guy. Dustin your the man!
Dustin got his shit rocked
Keep your head up champ
“if i win like a man i gotta be able to lose like a man” 😭 bro a sour winner too 💀
This last question to dustin about hauling up his drawers every couple seconds..... this is your first time mr reporter?? 🤦🏻♂️🤣
Justin adding headkicks to his arsenal makes him so much more dangerous since pple expect his leg kick
The one time I wanted him to win. That kick was basically the one that took out tony too😒 Dustin is a savage.
It kindah break my heart watching him controlling his emotions obviously upset with the Lose. My man, @Dustin_The_Diamond_Poirier, you still one of the Best in the sport and you'd fs go down in the UFC Hall Of Fame Record. Congrats with the achievements you had both in the sport and in life so far.
Took it like the Superman he is❤
