You’re acting like he’s on some kind of losing streak or like he just received a devastating knockout. When the truth of the matter is that he’s ranked number 3 in the world, one of the better boxers in the UFC? Most importantly, he just went against what is the number one pound for pound fighters in the world in Islam, and he looked good, felt good, and he knows it. It is definitely not a comfortable retirement for the diamond. I'm not saying he should or shouldn't retire because that is not up for me to desire. He is a grown man, but more importantly, he's a fighter, and he wants to be a fighter. Let him be a fighter. You can't tell him what to do; it doesn't work like that. Why do you think guys like Tony keep going because he's a fighter? That's all he knows. So let him be one. doesn't matter how much he loses let him be a fighter.

It really is wild when you think about it, 17 to 35 is 18 yrs... 50 fights in 18 yrs is 2.77 fights per year, an average of almost 3 fights every year for 18 yrs is crazy. When he did have to take time off for an injury to heal or surgery getting done, he had to fight 4-5 fights a year to keep that average up that high... I hope he sticks around, but he really has nothing to prove, maybe his legacy will just being known as the best fighter to never win the UFC world championship.
