@@aprilvee9154In-game, when the gang lists off what FEISTY stands for, Starlo adds "Justice" to the end, before realizing there's no "j" in the word, so he quickly covers with "the J is silent", as a one-off gag. In this, each member has particular instruments that disappear from the mix as they're killed, followed by the flavor text "The ___ is silent". Starlo's got the "cowboy whistling", which may or may not be himself doing said whistling. Since _he's_ technically the instrument in question, it instead twists the "j is silent" joke into a bit of morbid humor. (That's also why he dies first in the video, bc I felt like it could only have the right amount of silliness if it was relatively early.)

I forgor everyone's names except for Starlo and Ed. I'll just list them left to right. Starlo: Literally McCree from Overwatch (It's high noon), basically a one-shot attack that'll be hard to dodge, but you only have to do it once. The card guy: Turns the game into Touhou for a moment, throwing cards like bullet hell. Not much opportunity to dodge, you have to do it a lot, but I-Frames exist. The look-a-like guy: He drowns you. That's allm Ed: He goes for a Heavenly Ed Buster. "He made pickpocket all week!" Squirel: "I'LL TAKE *YOUR* CRYPTO TO THE AFTERLIFE!" Basically steals your shit and *dies*.

personally, each final attack should give a permament debuff til the end of the run making zenith martlet harder, for example mooch steals your item button and then lets you kill her removing option to heal for the rest of the run moray could give you bleed effect when damaged from other monsters, similarly to sans fight ed could slow your soul permamently, but you gain early access to dodging attacks with x ace could make the enemy attack deal either half of the damage to triple the damage based on rng, basically random damage every time and starlo permamently takes your hp away

I love the play on words "Dust Devil"! The definition of a dust devil is "a small whirlwind or air vortex over land, visible as a column of dust and debris" and this perfectly fits in with the wild west sandy dunes area! You are also a "dust devil" because you are the evil force that is "dusting" everyone in sight

This is really cool! I feel like Starlo and his gang really got shafted in the Genocide run. I feel what should've happened was, when you enter the town, this fight happens (they're all unsparable btw), Ceroba sees it and runs towards her house. You follow her, and then you see her handing the blue soul serum to Martlet. Martlet flies away as Ceroba's Geno fight starts. This way, all three get their time to shine, AND you to get see how Martlet got the serum. Edit: forgot that Martlet took the Determination serum the True Lab, not Chujin's Blue Soul serum. Whoops.

To add onto this: -All five fight at once(in groups of two each turn), but until a certain point in the fight, Starlo can't be targeted(being greyed out in the back taking potshots until his time comes) -Every time a member of the Feisty Four dies, the remaining member's attacks get upgraded further(With a little Q(Queen), K(King), or A(Ace) appearing next to their card suit when its' their turn -When the last member of the four has low HP, they perform a desperation move that happens to be a WAY harder version of their signature moves from the pacifist/neutral route. -Every so often Starlo performs a combo attack with another member, or does an attack of his own. -Once ANY member reaches low HP, Starlo calls off the battle temporarily, not wanting to see his friends hurt any further, and tries to spare you. -If you spare him, all of them gang up on you and knock you down to 1 HP, before leaving you in the jailhouse while evacuating everyone else from the Wild East(I imagine Flowey would break you out of the cell, with things reverting into the neutral route, with the main difference being that the Wild East and the rest of the Dunes is still abandoned) -If you attack him, you deal a TON of damage(not enough to be fatal, but still instantly knocking him down to half-health, showing how Starlo didn't let his guard down enough for it to be a betrayal kill, but it still caught him off-guard), which leads into him deciding to settle things in a showdown just like in the original encounter...playing out pretty much exactly the same too, before the fight with the FF finally resumes. -If you choose to kill them all and then go neutral during the Steamworks, the normal "dead Starlo" attack Flowey uses is replaced with "Starlo" doing a combo attack with the Feisty Four(with what member it is specifically glitching around rapidly, changing the attack type constantly for it's duration)

Martley did use the Blue soul syrem. That's why he turned integrity coloured, because he used the serum Chujin had. Don't forget, Martlet and Chujin were good friends.

They don't learn anything...never, ever. If they'd attacked together, all of them, everyone - together, then they might have had a little chance to take down that damn brat.

To properly answer -- that's actually the sound of Starlo's lasso stretching, just because the clip I took the sound from was actually Starlo's first attack, and I didn't want to dig through game files to find the gunshot sound alone ^^; But I am glad it gave that effect, even if it was unintentional!

starlo can literally slow and freeze your movement WITHOUT A LASSO, so he clearly is not "too weak" to be a genocide boss

Funny thing about this is you can actually fight Starlo at a higher level then genocide Ceroba by evading some genocide triggers. And he dies in 6 hits (assuming perfect accuracy with silver bullets), so he could've lived that dual.

It's a bit of a shame the feisty four never made an appearance in the genocide route, they could've had one hell of a fight! (also a missed opportunity to see what Ace looked like under his hat, though I like how it's kept a secret)

The way that the instruments slowly go away as you kill them gives it a similar progression to Enemies Retreating which I like.

Yeah, that's the idea! I liked how Deal 'Em Out had additional percussion added to the track depending on who was at the front, so I decided to sorta reverse that idea here -- even though not all five are actively in front in the (hypothetical) fight, they still play a part as long as they're alive. (Speaking of "progression", I left Moray's acoustic guitar as the second-to-last instrument because that's where the Enemy Retreating chord progression is most noticeable 😉)

Martlet explains why you here the music in fights, so it makes good sense why the music disappear when more monsters die

I accidentally got spoiled while I was still in Snowdin genocide that "in genocide Starlo dies from the duel" and I thought "Ahh so for a small portion of the wild East the characters don't know that you're homicidal and when the duel happens you secretly use the wild revolver and not the BB gun." My sibling stated that they dislike the fact that Ceroba was effectively the "Undyne the Undying equivalent" because she already got a pacifist fight and they wished that Starlo got that role instead. I'm not sure how I feel about that(Martlet gets three fights, one of which a two-phased final boss) but if he was killed in like just a SLIGHTLY more interesting way That would've been nice.

Although I don’t agree with your sister, I still wished starlo got a mini fight. But remember, all that cowboy stuff was still a fantasy. Which is why Starlo only used a BB gun during the actual genocide duel (you can find out if you let starlo shoot you, letting him live his fantasy one last time). But ceroba is still fair to be the “undyne the undying” cause she’s already more powerful, and similar to undyne has the actual will to kill you

Moray would prob be evacuated because she thinks of her family, friends and family and know that whoever is killin will kill them all and the rest prob the same. Starlo tho, because of his fantasy's, he wants to actually save everyone, so he stays in the wild east to make an attempt, but, he doesnt have the courage to ACTUALLY kill someone (on his boss fight he is emotional and put to test about his fantasy and beliefs.)

BRO the name dust devil is SO good with such layered meaning, incredible

as much as i loved the fact you fight the final pacifist boss way earlier in no mercy, i DO think it would be way better if everything was the same but instead of starlo getting one-shot ceroba instead jumps infront of the shot. like the powerful pacifist end boss ends up getting one-shot and you have to fight all of the feisty five at the same time, and additionally get to see that powerful attack starlo interrupts during pacifist and neutral. like we never get to see what that looked like, and imo it's what i was expecting during no mercy since it seemed like an obvious hint imo. tldr; ceroba is just as cool as a sort of less powerful version of her but like... idk her dying immediately instead and fighting all of the feisty five would have been so much cooler. like it felt like they were hinting at that with the fact that Ed gets interrupted by starlo before he can do a supposedly difficult attack lol. the fact that they're just absent in no mercy is a little weird.

@@clawcakes2 If you've seen the flawed pacifist ending when you kill Ceroba after the final fight, this would actually make a good branch for a Genocide path where he is the final boss. He gets SO upset that you killed her, and instantly turns on Clover completely coldly. It hurts so bad

"The J is silent". I feel like this has a double meaning, as not only does it mean that Starlo is gone, but that Clover/you are not doing anyone any justice. Atleast certainly not the so called "enemies". If thats done on purpose, great job! Great music by the way!

Start dialogue: *Time for a party. Or, more accurately, a posse. Random dialogue (A) *Shots are fired. Too slow. *Fists fly. Too weak. *Swords swing. Too tacky. *Cards are dealt. Too predictable. *Taunts are spoken. Too childish. Dialogue (B, after all A, one member has died): *All four shed a tear. The wet sand below glistens like diamonds. *Pressure makes diamonds. *The air is filled with tension...and dust. Dialogue C (2 members have died, after all B): *And then there were three. *They're holding back tears. *They're choking on their tears...and the dust. *They hate you. Dialogue D (2 remain, after all C): *The Trusty Two stand before you. *This is their last stand. *They're giving it their all. *Their all isn't enough. Dialogue E (In my mind, Starlo will not attack you (and therefore avoid being attacked) when at half HP, until there are two left. If you get him to low HP, then try to finish him, whoever is left with him will take the bullet and it'll be fatal, leaving only him.): *Bullseye. *It's a sheriff's job to do what's right, even if he ends up alone. *To never back down. *To never come short. *To never weaken. *To never tire. *To keep pushing. Ed is an electric bass, and Mooch has the electric guitar instead of Ace (it might be a violin but it's probably a guitar). Starlo also has some kind of electric instrument, so we'll say Starlo has electric guitar #1 and Mooch has electric guitar #2.

I expected starlo to be the final Boss of genocide or at least the "undyne" Because an epic cowboy showdown between clover and someone how would have seen them has a "deputy" Would have been incredible

I love the detail of the instruments slowly dying out alongside the characters. It's really clever.

To be fair to the Feisty Five, the Wild East is basically a Disney world equivalent to a Wild West town. It's all just show, no actual substance. They may look formidable in pacifist but in the end, they're just roleplayers. Starlo would most likely have evacuated the entire town except for himself since he's always the dramatic showman at heart. I do agree that a fight with them would be hype but story-wise it just wouldn't make sense unless they all ran into town after Clover already dealt with Starlo.

It would be a cool character arc though, from simple actors to actual heroes, if just for one final fight. Plus it doesn't look like they're unable to fight, look at the starlo fight in pacifist and the feisty four fight right before the starlo one.

I really like your idea of fighting everyone simaltaniously, when i uty geno first time, i honestly expected someþing similar to how yours played out more ðan how it actually did, given how genocide's 1st twist boss was in waterfall (3rd area), i expected starlo to do some really cool stuff when you entered wild east, until starlo fired a fake shot and died in one hit only for ceroba who had already been pacifist's main boss to show up (not like ceroba's boss fight wasn't fun i just expected it to play out differently)

the dynamic instrumentation works REALLY well here. the way it goes from a bombastic theme befitting The Greatest Sheriff In Wild East™at the beginning to something almost completely empty by the end is just... chilling. and it sounds like it'd fight right in the game too! excellent work 10/10 starlo was robbed

Massive waste of potential for Starlo not to have an insane fight in genocide, if not be the final boss, since only he and ceroba have people to lose to you. Starlo has his feisty five crewmates, Ceroba, and his entire family.

I audibly gasped when Ace was eliminated second how could you ;0; But seriously, awesome video mate!

Honest to God, this should have been the Wild East Genocide boss, not Ceroba. Ceroba already has her crazy fight in pacifist, have Clover instantly kill her and give the fiesty five their chance.

@@gamercentral2417 No it makes perfect sense because Ceroba isn't even a boss monster, she has plot armor. And this is a terrible take? That's your opinion. Undyne is the fuckin heroine of the underground and she was one shot by Frisk at LV 10-11 alone, to the point where she was cut in HALF and had to rely on her own forged determination to come back, but this normal ass monster who doesn't even have her mask during this fight can just eat these LV 10-11 attacks like it's nothing? That's baffling.

@@gamercentral2417 Clover being weaker is only really based upon justice not having saving features, and Flowey gives Clover that feature so there's barely a difference power wise. Also there is no evidence that they would instantly kill the Fiesty Five, they don't even instantly kill Dalv or Martlet or El Baliador.

This would be such an awesome boss fight. I imagine that the fight would involve taking down each member one by one, with the player being free to choose who to shoot at first. The Feisty Four's dialogue and attack patterns could change as the fight goes, with their attacks becoming increasingly more difficult and harder to dodge depending on how many other members of the group are dead. This could introduce varying strategies, where players have to decide what order to take the group down based on what attack patterns they find easier to dodge/memorize. Starlo should always be the last to go down. The player can begin lowering his HP from the start, but when his HP hits a certain threshold the members of the group will start taking hits for him, forcing you to target them instead and take them down before finishing Starlo off. Sucks the actual genocide route does them a huge disservice. There was such huge potential to have an epic battle against them. Plus, it'd be just like an Undyne the Undying style fight, where the true heroes come in to face off against you, so it would fit as a mid boss much better than what we got with Ceroba.

i feel like north star would always be the second to last to die and ed would always be the last to die for a few reasons 1. to me it doesn't seem in character for north star to allow ed to die after three other members of the feisty five died 2. it would be a reference to the trolley problem task with the options being ed or everyone else 3. at the very end of the normal feisty four fight ed mentions a strongest attack which he never gets to use 4. ed's the most important of the feisty four (other than north star) with him being the first and last seen in the feisty four battle while having the hardest to dodge attacks, being the first to resign, being the one to get the rest in the feisty four battle to do team attacks, and not being put with the rest in the trolley problem 5. i had another reason but i forgot it

I have this amazing idea for an alternate Wild East fight. Starlo doesn't die in the dual, so you fight both him and Ceroba in Phase 1. Because Starlo was heavily damaged in the dual, Ceroba protects him with a shield so you need to drain her health first. Once you kill her, Starlo will embrace her one last time before kneeling on the ground, crying. You're open to take the final shot and finish him off. But then, suddenly, Ace summons a card and deflects the bullet away from Starlo. Him and the others come on screen and they tell Starlo that they've come to help apprtake down the Dust Devil. With his posse by his side, Starlo is revitalised. He gets up, stares at you with cold eyes filled with anger and hatred as his posse stand around him. Then, Phase 2 begins.

Yeah, I'm so sad about that because Ceroba was one of my least favorite characters due to being too edgy. I liked the fiesty four more and I wish we got to see more of them.

@@gamercentral2417 ??? What. I never said she was in the game too much. I said she was too edgy, It's like if they added guns to minecraft. I don't think Ceroba fits into the game because she feels like a steriotipical fangame character, in a game that otherwise feels like Undertale. For an examle of this being done well-Sans gets very close to being too edgy, but because of Sans' writing he stays in the safe zone of being cool and not overly edgy. This line of being cool and overly edgy is in a different place for different people, you may think Ceroba is too edgy, but you might think she's fine. It's just my opinion. Some people don't even like Sans for being too edgy but that's their opinion.

@@mrfrog0913 imo "too edgy" isn't a meaningful argument for disliking a character. if you think she doesn't fit the overall tone, in that her story and character is much darker than anything in the rest of the game, that's totally fair! i'm a ceroba fan myself, but i can definitely see how she stands out among the rest of the cast. but "edgy" has no solid, definitive meaning- and honestly, from hearing it used to complain about things so often through the years, i've come to hear it as just meaning "this is too cool so i don't like it" LOL

I get why they didn't want to have a multi-fight, but it would have been really interesting. Undertale/Deltarune (and fan fights in general) rarely ever use more than two in a fight outside of regular monsters - and this would have been the perfect time to showcase this. UTY already demonstrated that they were willing to give combination attacks in the Pacifist/Neutral route, so having them show up in Geno as at least a brief distraction before Starlo/Ceroba would have been interesting to see.

If anyone doesn't know what a dust devil is (im pretty sure i heard this somewhere correct me if wrong) its like a very tiny tornado (compared to actual tornadoes) made of dust

Happy to see that i was not the only one who was really hyped to get a full fiesty four battle in geno! Really sad we did not get it,but still really hyped to see that the fans are already making fan content! It would have been really hard to say goodbye to all these characters. With all it's aus,and other fan contents,undertale treated us way too well to just be able to.

i love the double meaning behind this, how it means "dust devil" as in the monster's dust, and that "dust devil" is just a sand tornado.

i really wish we had gotten a real starlo + fiesty five fight, just imagine. a young boy playing as sheriff his entire life to escape from his mundane life is forced to truly take up the mantle and protect justice. "this is the end of the tracks and the sheriff's got you in his sights. its time for justice to be served" i like to think his fight would be as hard as cerobas fight just with no dumb "gimmicks" just a good old fashioned hard fight against the undergrounds best and only real lawbringer. even if he gave himself that title

Like everyone else is saying, I was disappointed that we never got a boss fight with all 5 of these guys.

Dude! This would've been so cool! I love Ceroba, and I love trial by fury, but I think the feisty five definitely deserved some love in the geno route :) that said, this is really good!! (And sad. But mostly good!)

The almighty sheriff and his posse appear. This is FIRE! i can't wait to see the mod, it's gonna be incredible! Dust Devil is such a good name, i can see the feisty five actually calling you like that. I personally love The Wild East motif, just feels soo great to hear. the rhythm is quite catchy, and i love that when you end Starlo the theme feels drastically changed, after all, he is the sheriff. "The J is silent." is genius, feels so wrong and so right. I'll surely continue listening to the rest of your music, keep it up mate!

I think it would be cool if your rampage gave them the resolve to fight for real. After all they certainly put in the practice and even holding back they have some pretty decent attacks. However, it just wouldn’t fit with the game themes. It’s not Justice to fight innocents who would never attempt to kill someone. As Starlo says Clover has a method. The only counter argument I can see is well the feisty five do attack you in the neutral/pacifist rout, but it’s just Starlo who tries to kill you.

I was really skeptical of how the whole "removing instruments" thing would go, but by the end the bass playing on its own had a VERY intense kind of tension and power to it that captivated me. This isn't just a fansong, it's true art.

Before Fight dialogue and story: You put the feisty four on the train tracks North Star: what’re ye’re doin *raises gun and shoots the ropes off the tracks* WITH MY POSSE Actual fight: Starlo lasso’s you while the other four throw rocks money water and cards at you Two team attacks go on one after another starting with Ed and Ace then the other two Starlo starts shooting everywhere similar to the final phase of the final move in the Kirby deltarune mod *YOU STRIKE DOWN STARLO* The four become infuriated and each do a series of single attacks *YOU WIPE OUT ACE* The final three infuriate do three triple attacks each of them taking charge in one *YOU WIPE OUT MOOCH* Moray and Ed throw everything they have at you Moray closing you into a fourth of the box while Ed throws rocks down at you *MORAY GOES DOWN* Ed takes out his gun and shoots as much as he can eventually he falls over from the recoil where you can either wither him down to get secret dialogue or end it quick if you pick the first here’s that dialogue: *why did you do this but I guess I’ll say some of my tales before I go I was a friend of Stars’ before he created the team me, him, and Ceroba would play cops and robbers all the time and I never knew we would be shot down by the same justice we tried to show.

Am I the only one who noticed first off, that each character who got killed off throughout the song the music had gotten less and less elaborate (like they were linked to an instrument)…but that also made it a liiiittle more unsettling to listen to? (Can I also say though that the thought above is fricking GENIUS???? Like DUDE. This was great!!!! You did an awesome job with this!!!! LET THERE BE A FEISTY FIVE BOSS FIGHT PLSSSSSSSSSS 😭😭😭😭😭😭

The fact that you never get to fight and kill the feisty five no matter what route you take is even worse than the fact that you can't kill that annoying hat from ts!underswap. The entire time I was going through this area on pacifist, I was imagining what kind of cool scenarios I might see if I take a more antagonistic path. Turns out it never changes unless you go full genocide, in which case the whole area is skipped, and you have to do another Ceroba fight. I have nothing against Ceroba, but why make us fight her twice? Hopefully someone makes a playable fight for it soon, I'd love to see that, ideally as a mod/add-on for uty so I can play it in the right context.

So this is basically how this fight would go in my mind. [Intro] Starlo:So you're here. You know that I am aware of your acts nowadays. Should I fear you? That's the real question I ask. [The Sheriff Seems Alone] [Attack] [A Blade Swings And You Miss The Shot] Ed:Ya know you shouldn't have done that. Mooch:That would lead to a fight you know? Ed:Don't you know we will be in a fight Mooch? Mooch:Oh, sorry! Moray:There's no time for saying sorry, we are indeed in front of a wanted criminal, Mooch. Ace:As long as I do what I want, that being giving what ya deserve, I am fine with getting in combat. Starlo:I know you have a method to yer doing. You want to put up a fight. If that's what you want, that's what you get. [The Battle Begins!]

Gonna give gimmicks to each one. You already gave one to Starlo and Mooch, so I wont say anything for them. Ace could possibly do something akin to the Jevil fight and have Symbol Bombs shoot at the Soul even when he isn't on the field [Though there'd be considerably more when he DOES pop up], Moray could but their sword between the various options in the menus, causing you to take damage if you cross over, and Ed could just do a crap ton of damage. No actual gimmick for him, he's just incredibly strong.

Ed has a special attack that he was gonna use before he was interrupted in the neutral/pacifist run, so i feel like ed does have an actual gimmick

It is! It's a recurring pattern throughout the UTY soundtrack. Technically I was inspired by the Wild East theme directly, but I asked MasterSwordRemix while I was working on this, and he confirmed that it was indeed a call-back (call-forward?) to the Yellow Soul theme.

The flavor text that suggests Clover takes a bite out of Morray is disturbing at best

Something that would be cool is as you kill them their hats float through the air in the background until you kill the last one where as they turn to dust all the hats also disintegrate leaving only their's for a moment which then finally turns to just more dust around the dust devil

I was kind of hoping that the fiesty five would go first (without starlo), you would have to kill them first and then maybe Starlo would have some special attack? (Along with unique music). But great vid anyways!

Maybe if I learn how to code ever I might make a fight concept for this, since I always felt like the Feisty Five/Four were missing for no reason in genocide. Also, maybe instead of card suits, it could be high card values, in my ideas: Starlo - Ace (he's the leader of the team) Moray - Joker (they could really support any attack) Mooch - Queen (I had no where else to put this so here) Ace - Jack (more of a support than anything) Ed - King (no where else to put it)
