I got the same duspol, I got mine in the early 80s when I started the trade in Europe. It still works and used it here in Canada for years.

Got a Red Pair of these Duspols. They work, but I havnt used them in years. They trip RCD’s when checking power, and I just don’t use them in general. Be ok for industrial, which I do a lot of, but just easier to have my Fluke Multimeter handy

Here in the USA, I've never heard of Duspols. That's why I had to purchase them because they're so unique.

@@TheElectriciansToolChannel Always good to check out new (or in some cases newly discovered) products. These used to be very common with Electricians here in New Zealand 🇳🇿 But most of us now have your great USA Fluke meters, love your channel and how broad it is. Was very pleased to see these Duspols make an appearance.

How much voltage were you applying? You need around 110V DC / AC to get it really working, it may respond down to 50V if you are lucky. Duspol is now marketed by Benning.

I believe you're correct, I was only applying around 30 vdc. I really want to get it working properly , I realized that the neon light is blown it doesn't have any markings on it. Any ideas where you'll look first ? I was thinking Digi-Key, now Benning since you mentioned it.

@@TheElectriciansToolChannel If you can physically size it you might get lucky with Digi-Key or Mouser. Benning technical support may be worth asking, you never know what historical information they may have, especially if their is a USA contact for you.

    That's not a fuse...it's a neon light.

I took it out and it looks like a fuse. I'm looking for a replacement where would I find it ?

I got no clue, the neon shows you ac or DC, test is done by pressing the button. My neon doesn't work but the solenoid works. Yours looks brand new, the prongs are good for stabbing thru insulation on thicker wires.

@@johnvanschaik7867 I would like to get it 100% fully operational. I also tried to get it to work as you saw in the video as you saw with the blown neon with no success. But the day before it was working fine. Can you speculate the amperage of that neon light ? I was thinking 10 amps ?

That neon light does not carry any current, the sping beside it does the testing voltage..is the solenoid operational? Just try it in a 120v outlet and press the button..it's like one of those testing screwdrivers with the neon lamp inside.

@@johnvanschaik7867 Thank you, I figured that out already. And it's working now I have to find and purchase the neon glow component and everything is solved. I'm researching to locate one. Thanks
