Dusit Thani is a luxury hotel brand originating from Thailand, and Dusit Thani Kyoto is located in the area in front of the world heritage site Nishi Honganji.

Dusit Thani is a Thai company ("Town in Heaven" in English), but I don't understand why you need a Thai-style dinner in a luxury Japanese hotel. Japanese food is exquisite enough.

@godders7964 It gives the locals something different to enjoy too, I suppose. Many hotels in Japan offer traditional and unique cuisines based on the regions. But it is rare to find a hotel with Thai elements in Kyoto. I guess this makes them stand out from the rest. Offering something new for their people to enjoy too.

@godders7964. Hotels all over the world have several restaurants within the hotel offering food from different countries. It offers a chance for locals to taste something different. Five star hotels, including Dusit Thani, always have more than one restaurant.

i dont see anything wrong with that….Dusit Thani is international, much like Hilton n Sheraton… indeed they offers more than 1 restaurant in their hotels.. having a Thai-style dinner will give local Japanese some varieties, a taste of Thailand for those who never been to Thailand.

A little better than other Japanese hotels that were WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY too westernized ( This 1 has a ways to go incorporating more of traditional Japan in order for me to immerse myself in Japan ) that I've seen but mixed with Thai??? Pass

What’s wrong with Japan incorporating other styles? Japan has always been diversified regarding their restaurants and hotels for a long time. From special themed ones to mixing with other cultures. You talk about immersion but can you even communicate in Japanese in a native level?🙄
