My dear, since you are from Orlu, I advise you to support the agitation for state creation inside the southeast.Your support for Anioma state will be tantamount to shooting yourself on the foot, because, I can bet you, when the south easterners work for the creation of Anioma state, it will be created, and I can bet you, when it is created, govt can never include it in the southeast. I can only urge the Igbos in the southeast to support the creation of Anioma state if there is a convincing assurance from govt that it will be included in the southeast.

I repeat it is delusional for the Igbos in the southeast to believe that Anioma state will be included in the southeast if created. Anioma people don't want Anioma state because of its proposed annexation to the southeast.Go to page 24 of today's vanguard for more understanding. If there is no strong assurance that it will be included in the southeast, then it does not worth supporting.

I am from Imo state, but my support is for the creation of Anioma State. We do not see our brothers in Delta as inferior or not igbo enough, but, there have been some of our Delta igbos denying their igboness as a result of the civil war.

Apart from Onitsha Anioma people came from all the five South east states so Onitsha or not all of us are all siblings.

We should be talking about adding than subtracting, 1.land.as viable assets, 2.more population. 3.Igbo.brotherlyhood 4.conecting Onisha and Ahaba at strategic location closely to Lagos.and the west. Iam from Abia state, Anioma is the most preferred blend state.

@@jamesado8224 That Ukwuani story reminds me of the heated debates we used to have with South Sudanese in Europe during the the fight for their independence. At that time, some southern Sudan tribes opted out of the struggle and chose to remain with Khartoum. Later, South Sudan got its independence without those tribes that opted out, they wanted to join the new country but could not nor can they start their own fight for another country. So they are stuck with Old Sudan which is now ravaged by war.

You want to reason with Ukwuani Speaking People? We cannot be fighting supremacy battles with igbos and other tribes in the South-East. We will rather prepare our Anioma to be in the SS region so that we can have peace of mind an d have our Ukwuani Ethnic Identity fully protected.
