@mariaa6888, Durian doesn't look yummy or nice. Because of its formidable array of sharp thorns, it looks frightening, and yeah your hands will be hurt if you're not careful. But yeah it IS yummy, it smells strong and good. Perhaps it was conscious that it tastes attractively delicious for humans, thus it tried to deter humans from eating it by developing these scary thorns using evolution over a span of many millenniums. Unfortunately for it, humans can still eat it without being hurt by the thorns.
