In this video I will explain how to replace both pre and post water filters. How to use Descaler to remove scales, mineral deposits, sediments, etc... from the boiler tank.
Here are the water filters I used in this video:

I love my durastill water distiller, thank for making this video how to clean it.
Cheap de-scaler at Wal-Mart is Lemi-Shine. It's crystallized citric acid. They sell as an additive to dishwasher cycles. It works well and is food safe. I hear a lot of people wondering about removing minerals from the water. People have been living off collecting rain water for thousands of years, you get the minerals you need from the food you eat.
This was terrific, thank you!
durastill water distillers are expensive and if you don't maintain yours, they will fail, great video, thanks
Thank You.
Hi I run a water hose to the top and flush descaler out many times for on start up its all good
Thanks for showing us how they are cleaned! The manufacturer says to not scrub the heating element so that's probably why it has fallen Looks like mold in the boiling tank....

yeah he's supposed to empty the boiling tank a lot more often.
Do you put back trace mineral drop
Do you add trace mineral drops back into the water

@Maui Leilani You can add trace minerals back to your distilled water, however a lot of those minerals you should get from the food you eat.
YOu can buy citric acid in powder form and boil the chamber clean with it. No need to buy expensive descaler.

@Bob Wreck Thanks for the tip, I will try that next time!
Por si alguien interesa yo los reparo y limpio
You're supposed to empty and clean out the boiling tank a lot more often, I do it every 10-20 gallons, before you get any huge clumps of things Think of this, you want pure distilled water with no chemicals, so if you handle the crap that comes out of the boiling tank with bare hands you're absorbing the chemicals you removed from the water.
If that is supposed to be a Stainless Steel tank, WHY is it so TARNISHED? Shouldn't the tank be made of a thick enough stainless steel sheet that it does not thin out over time with repeated boils, only to become tarnished and eventually rust? That water is being delivered to the Post? Filter? Why should the post filter have to work so hard to make sure that the metals are not contaminating the water? Isn't there a Water Distiller Brand that has ALL OF ITS COMPONENTS, INSIDE AND OUT, STAINLESS STEEL?

Great questions. The tank itself (boiling tank) is made of stainless steel and is not tarnished. But the components all around it like the heating element, the holder for the element (to keep it upright and in place), bolts, nuts, etc are surprisingly NOT all stainless. They rusted and eventually cause problem. I do not have much experience with other water distiller brand. I do not know if there is one better with better parts.
Also there is no reason to filter distilled water as it is pure. You only filter after.

The prefilter helps remove minerals before boiling it into hard sediments

Doesn’t the water filter softener system you have to the right remove the hard water? Why do you need the added descaled filter?

@@Haleysjeep A water distiller is your best choice. This is why Kenmoore and Sears don't make them as they want you to drink their filth. Water distiller doesnt need filters and is always 100 percent. Filters have small holes and if the water can get through so can fluoride. but God made it so the evaporation process cleans all of the garbage out.
that's digustine
COULDNT YOU JUST USE WHITE VINAGER
Too hard....
Thats a real shit fest with that design of chamber. I have a Dolfyn and you can remove the boiling chamber and clean it or whatever. I would hate to own these Durastills.
