Duran Duran é atemporal.

This song reminds of time when the world and life where simple. Enjoying when I was very young. When all my family was alive and we were all together. Cousins got along. Now half of my family has passed and the rest of the family is just broken.

Reading his autobiography and studying his compositions, man it’s hard work trying to get the syncopation on Rio is one hell of a challenge and he makes it look no effort at all great bass player , this will be my next piece to learn , and the tone on that Dingwall 😮

@@neilbassgroover1451 Spot on. Have you seen the video where he breaks down the bass line to rio? It’s awesome. I love playing the bass and after all these years it seems he does to. I play a Fender Jazz so I’m never going to get that tone but Duran Duran basslines are great for teaching you new tricks and ideas Are you bassist?

Sounding just as good as they were in the 80’s when I was in my 20’s- now mid fifties👍This is one of my favorite Duran Duran song!! A kind of dark, sexy , catchy tune !! Master Musicians, who truly enjoy their music and fans! Thank you guys- Keep on Rocking- You still got it!😍

My girlfriend dragged me to this concert of Duran. I am so glad she did. This is some band on al levels. Musicality, passion, delivery, and just a message to mens sex appeal. Great job duran.

Meus 2 centavos Foi a última geração de verdadeiros MÚSICOS. Caras que passavam ANOS aprendendo melodia, ritmo e harmonia ANTES de gravar alguma coisa. Naquela época era uma VERGONHA vc subir no palco sem dominar pelos menos um instrumento. Fora que todo mundo curtia música boa, independente de raça, posição política ou orientação sexual. O PÚBLICO tinha ouvido musical e gente sem talento não tinha chance Foi também a geração que deu (sem querer) o pontapé inicial da decadência: transformaram música em IMAGEM com os videoclipes (que eram excelentes). Daí pra frente virou business. A grana entrou forte e a vergonha desapareceu. Junto com a música Pra completar, o público se tornou IMBECIL, confundindo sucesso (GRANA!) com talento. A indústria descobriu que qualquer LIXO podia fazer sucesso (com o marketing correto). E que produzir lixo sai super BARATO

Some of the most painful moments of my teenage life, I spent listening to this song. And I'm in my 50's and it brings me back and I just want to cry. It is amazing how powerful this song still is.

This, along with The Chauffer, have been my favorite Duran Duran songs since they were released on Rio. I think I was 10. I still love a good song in a minor key.

Their music never gets old. A band full of incredible talent, and they make it look so easy.

I was a teenager living in a small country town in southern Brazil. When I first heard that song. Until today I remember the feeling of lightness and happiness that she brought me. Thank you, thank you so much!

And baaaaam 🎇 - it's almost 40 years later and this song still touches me as it did back then
