Eben i have a friend with a 2010 Hyundai Sonata 3.3 v6 - 100,000 us miles. They've owned it only 2 years, right now it has quaker state synthetic blend & a fram cartridge filter in it. My friend wants to use Amsoil Signature series and go one year and he only puts on 3,000 miles a year at most. Do you think he should put a synthetic in first change it out at 6 months to help clean deposits out on a first synthetic oil change and then try go one year -- my thought being not plugging up the oil filter , being as the car never had full synthetic before?

My toro timecutter fuel consumption improved visibly in the tank making its 3 oil change to amsoil 4stroke. My dad noticed the big difference so I told him your not gonna believe this but it’s probably due to this high end oil called amsoil I switched over to.

Hey would you recommend the heavy duty 4x wear protection or the signature series in a Duramax diesel with 300k miles?

If it was my personal truck I would get the signature series I would also get two bottles of engine flush and the diesel injector clean + cetane boost fuel additive the green bottle. I would get one case of 16 oz bottles and do two full bottles as a heavy clean up dose every 3,000 Mi and one bottle every full tank as a maintaining dose that's what I would personally do if it was my vehicle. I think there's a couple different options for oil filters and you can also do a bypass filter so there's always a couple different ways to go

I have 2007 accord accord with 300k miles burning lots of oil. Does amsoil or any other stuff help it with the oil consumption

Amsoil is great but no oil is great at 15000 miles. It’s a good product that shouldn’t go beyond 5000 miles. How much is a spun bearing going to cost compared to a 5000 mile oil change interval?

Meh, oil is oil. Change it every 3,000 miles and it doesn’t matter what brand it is.

The problem is very few people do. Most new cars recommend 10k oil change which is way too long on traditional oil. But I'd agree if you run a high quality oil every 3k you'll be fine but if you want to save money and go longer Amsoil is great stuff

@thebeddoctor4273 one of the big things I always remind everybody of is how different oils are a full synthetic can be called full synthetic when it's 25% synthetic and that's very misleading a Amsoil is 100% synthetic and that creates a higher film strength less fuel delusion less burning of the oil cleaner Pistons also the Amsoil filter is a much bigger upgrade better efficiency and captures more where causing contaminants in the oil that's what makes a huge difference and that's why Amsoil is good for 2 to 3 times OEM interval in some cases it's good for five times the OEM interval with oil analysis. I was a Valvoline guy for many, many years. I tried Pennzoil, Mobil, etc. I recently did an Amsoil Flush, changed oil and filter with Amsoil and their filter. Power foamed the throttle bottle. Completely different engine. Quiet and smooth
