    Hi Marie, I just made this last night, I really like it. I made a small 100g batch, unfortunately I used SCI flakes, which took forever to melt. I made another batch, 200g, but I ground the SCI first. It cut my time easily by half. Thanks for the formulate. I also made one of your conditioner formulas and that is the only conditioner I have used since.

    This is just amazing Marie!! I love Cetaphil Cleansers and lotion and haven't actually thought of duping them. I made a similar cleanser in the past but with 4% Emulsifying Wax NF and 5% glycerin so it looks opaque and creamy in color, can't wait to make this on weekend and see how 20% Glycerin will affect the skin feel. I am going to post it on Instagram and hashtag you. 💜

    Not too long ago I was binging through SCI cleanser bar ingredients & found that Cetearyl Alcohol was used quite often as a bulking agent, I suspect in a similar ratio. It was clear that these 2 ingredients were key to these formulas I found it fascinating that BTMS would also frequently make an appearance too even though it was a cationic pairing with an anionic

    since lathering is not necessary (or even achievable), I like to apply this straight to the face without water and gently rub in circles all around the face and eyes, then rinse off with water or wipe it off using a damp cloth. it's a lot easier and less messy this way since the gel consistency stays thick vs thinning out w/ added water

    I used Cetaphil cleanser and moisturizer in my 20's. I jad keratosis pilaris, but didn't know what it was. One dermatologist got me on topical tetracycline. I didn't need it, it wasn't an infection. Finally someone clued me in on this stuff. It's so gentle, doesn't dry or provoke oiliness.

    Thanks for the formula! Can you add Hyaluronic acid (low molecular) and titanium dioxide to the mixture?

  • @HumblebeeAndMe

    @HumblebeeAndMe

    Жыл бұрын

    Hi! You *could* add hyaluronic acid in the same way that it is possible to use a silk scarf instead of toilet paper, but I really really really don't recommend doing that. This cleanser is only on your skin for maybe 20 seconds-no where near long enough for hyaluronic acid to actually DO anything-so why waste an expensive ingredient that way? There's already heaps of moisturizing (cheap) glycerin in here; I'd save your hyaluronic acid for leave-on uses :) You could try including a small % of TD, though I haven't checked to see if it'll stay suspended or settle out over time.

If you're not sure what I mean by the "description box", read this: www.humblebeeandme.com/faqs/whats-the-description-box-on-youtube/.). Sometimes those links break because they're always off-site links, or sometimes the store I've linked to isn't in your country. That's why I also have a giant page of places to shop all over the world, which you can find here: www.humblebeeandme.com/resources/. It doesn't have every country in the world, but it does contain all the online stores I know about. If your country isn't listed, that's because I don't know about any online stores in your country. You could try looking for a local Facebook group for people who like making soap & other cosmetics-they may be able to recommend places to shop. Happy making!
