Dunstaffnage Castle, Oban, Scotland.
A beautiful Castle sat on the banks of Loch Linnhe, Oban, Scotland. One of the oldest standing Castle remains in Scotland.
Built before 1240 on a huge rock, on the waters edge.
The Castle was captured by Robert the Bruce in 1308 and remained in royal hands until 1469.
In 1746 Flora Macdonald was held here before being sent to the Tower of London for helping Bonnie Prince Charlie in his escape.
