Dumpy Talking About Going To GG Allin Shows In The 80’s & 90's

Фильм және анимация

I flew to Portland to visit my man Dumpy who I hadn’t seen in years. I recorded one of our conversations because we always have good ones.

@@toms4442 did enough bands do that that it became a referenceable thing? are there a lot of bands that still do stuff like this? I feel like the biggest barrier would be getting the venue to allow you I always wondered how GG was able to even book and be scheduled on stage.

@@chunguschungusI gotta believe that after a while of his antics, most of the venues knew what they were getting into. A lot of them probably just wanted the allure of having GG play. The shows that the venues shut down probably didn’t expect it to get so out of hand.

I'm a hippie? Lol 😅😅 Bloody F. Mess here. In Ashland Oregon. News to me. I'm 58. I was listening to the Jefferson Airplane, The Stooges & the Doors b4 I even heard the words punk rock. I've never labeled myself. In the 80s me & GG met ( 1983) & we had lots of musical tastes in common. I was in a nihilist punk band called Hate...from 1985 to 1987. I was in a nihilist band, the Skabs from 1987 to 1994. It 1995 I released an outlaw country record. Then I had a working outlaw & blues country band 1985 thru 1998. During that time I was in an opening act for the Sex Pistols reunion tour in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Then in 1999 I started my 24 year radio broadcasting career. Still producing my 2 hour CHURCH OF ROCK RADIO SHOW every Sunday & it's fuckin syndicated & I play ALL rock from GG to Zappa, The Stones to Motorhead. In the past 10 years I've done recordings with Richie Ramone, Rikk Agnew/Christian Death , Casey Royer of D.I./Adolescents, Don Bolles of the Germs etc. I just released my 10th music video & Dont know why you spread bullshit about me. Whats me going to ashram have to do with "selling out"? lol sorry if I don't live up to your image of what a punk singer should be. I've beat nicotine, heroin & alcohol addiction in my life. Then guys like you judge me without knowing facts. Sell out? Lol I'm one of the last real fucking rockers. I don't fit into your categories. I'm not a hippie or a punk. I'm a rocker. Always have been. On one hand ya rip on gg for being degenerate... but im vilified because I'm not? What a crock. Go to KZread right now Type in Bloody F. Mess DARK DAZE UNFAZED. 13 new songs. Check out my collaboration with Sammytown of Fang. its called DARK DAZE. or my collaboration with Don from the Germs called SKIES ARE BLACK. Or check out the 4 or 5 films I've acted in. Or the movies I've written soundtrack material for in the Usa & Uk. Or check out the video Nick Zedd made for me In 2018. It's called Divine Dirt "Skeletons". Sell oUt😅😅😅😅 You must be talking about a different Bloody Mess. I go by " Derek Moody" on radio but the way. Just recently interviewed one of GG & the Jabbers guitarists. You guys are in need of education. I just released my 10th /40th anniversary album. With members of the Germs, the Plasmatics, Fang & its produced by Paul Roessler of the Screamers, 45 Grave etc. GG was not a junkie GG & I were totally different personalities. I was Into humor. From 1983 to 1990 we hung out alot. He stayed at my house a few times from 1985 to 1989. Never EVER saw him do drugs. Just booze. Never saw him EVER rape anyone & he was NOT convicted of rape. I was offered to contribute a song to the Mentors tribute album but declined because it was to be called " A tribute to rape rock". If you're gonna judge me Know the facts dudes. In my 60's? Lol I can run circles around dudes in their fuckin 20's This cracked me up. So misunderstood. That's what I am. Sell out? Fuck no. Epic Records was scouting me in 1999. I quit my band & started a salaried radio career. Then I released an album called ANTI ROCKSTAR. If you dudes knew anything about me you wouldn't be talking smack about me But I don't hold grudges long. So if you wanna apologize, we could be pals😅😅😅 I know that's not gonna happen. Anyway. That's my 2 Bloody cents.

So he could say it was definitely the shittiest show he saw. I'm sure he was so happy he went dumpster diving instead of going to the show. GG Allen and The Jabbers Banned in Boston is one of the best punk rock albums I've ever heard. It was actually very good. You Hate Me and I Hate You,Gimme Some Head, Cherry Love Affair, Automatic, Predictable,Wanted Dead or Alive. I mean the album didn't have one bad song on it. But he hadn't transformed into what he became and was remembered for. I mean his lyrics were a bit nasty but good as well and the music was so catchy and good. A top five punk rock album no doubt.
