So incredibly upsetting that stores throw away socks and clothes to end up in landfills, and not donate them to homeless or shelters!!!!! 😖

ITS UNREAL.

I'm a new subscriber and to be honest what made me subscribe is the fact that in more than one video I've heard him say, "if you don't want it we will donate it"..... I know that this is going to sound crazy but that made me cry.... Because you'll never know what that's going to mean to soneone.... I've been homeless twice in my life.... Once I was escaping an abusive marriage and the second was about 9 months after my husband passed away unexpectedly from a massive heart attack and someone took advantage of the fact that I had a nervous breakdown and used that to talk me into selling everything that my husband and I had worked so hard for.... God bless y'all for donating stuff......

I hit a walmart dumpster years ago the employees had it loaded right before Christmas boxes of jackets and toys.

Load the stuff before someone comes along and makes you put it back in the dumpster.

Socks are one of the key things to give to the homeless

In my diving experiences I've been asked a few times to leave but I know the local and state laws on dumpster diving. My rule of thumb is NEVER dumpster dive when there is a no trespassing sign and don't worm your way into a dumpster if the cage it's stored in has a lock. Be quick and quiet. Wear glass and needle proof gloves. And use a grabber for things further in the dumpster so you don't always have to get into the dumpster. Also, learn your trash collectors routine so you don't miss anything.

Even though it's 3:00 a.m. cops do go on patrol during the night. You guys hang out at the dumpster wayyyyy too long.

Just because cops do in your town does not mean that they go around in their town. There are no patrols where I live regardless of the time. So do not assume that just because things happen in one area that it happens everywhere.

Yes! I get anxiety watching them take their time, going through EVERYTHING, bright light, just grab and go, sort through it at home.

One man's trash is another man's treasure. Many people would live to have things like these. Less fortunate would be a blessing for them.

Suggestion... Have totes with you and just throw your finds directly into tote instead of on the ground. Much faster.😁 Y'all are so lucky!💚

MY QUESTION HOW DO YOU STORE ALL OF THIS STUFF. I KNOW ALOT OF DUMPSTER DIVERS FIND SO MANY THINGS. HOW DO THEY STORE ALL THEIR FINDINGS. SEEMS ALL THE STUFF WOULD FILL A WHOLE HOUSE. BUT I LOVE WATCHING DUMPSTER DIVERS VIDEOS. GIVES THUMPS UP TO ALL OF YOU SAVING OUR EARTH. JUST AMAZING WHAT STORES THROW AWAY.

These stores have very good insurance for this "damaged" merchandise. My sister worked at Target and they threw furniture that was on display, and all merchandise out of season, she told me that the company has insurance for this and they classify it as total loss

There's a curfew here. No vehicles on the roads after 10:00. The virus is spreading into upstate NY. I'm not leaving my house for anything. I'm really missing the dumpsters but my life isn't worth it.

How do you guys get away with dumpster diving? Do the cops ever show up? My friend and I got trespassed FOR LIFE for just digging around a store's dumpster, we can't even shop in the store! Our haul? We had put one box of 10 picture frames in my van, and we were forced to put it back in the dumpster. How do you keep from getting into trouble?

It depends on city and county ordinance in most places and never diving a dumpster marked no trespassing!

Dumpster diving is legal in all 50 States. You have to check local ordinances, but most say if it isn’t locked, or say no trespassing, it is legal.

@@zendoll1 My city won an exemption because the ban against it was found in a legal challenge to be discriminatory against the homeless and people in poverty. It is now legal within my city limits.

Wow you got some really good things tonight. Holy Cow, they throw so much stuff away, so glad you are doing your best to save things.

There are treasures you can salvage in the middle east during ramadan...they have this tradition of throwing away year old stuff and buy new ones...also, the supermarket I worked for, whenever there are little damage to items that we know customers will not buy, are either sold to us staff in half price or returned to the supplier. :))

Thank you guys for saving all this stuff from the dump. As someone who is very environmentally friendly It really saddens me all the stuff that company's throw away.

Love watching your excitement of your finds. I just forget to check what days they throw out things.

I think the plan is to make a personal map of each store that you dumpster dive. Then, watch the dates & times they throw out stuff. Also, know what time the trash truck comes before they haul stuff away. Store schedules may vary sometimes. But, once you have it down there you go. Have fun!

Check the laws for your state. Half the time they can really only get you for trespassing, but even then it’s kind of a grey area.

I wish people would think that hey why don’t we check around at the local houses for homeless people and see if they need it! But you all have said in the videos that I have watched we can donate it and I love that!

Just to let anyone know My friend bought a cooker like you found, on clearance and it didn't work. I told her to instead of returning it to the store to contact the manufacture. So she emailed them with what it was doing. All they had her do was cut the cord, send them a picture and they mailed her a brand new one!! SO if you find any type of electric powered items (the cooker or vacume) and they don't work, you can always contact the manufacturer!! 9 times out of 10 they will replace for free!! ;) Happy hunting!! ~Shaina~

@@sabinepabst4227 the contents of a dumpster is considered "public domain" it belongs to the public. two factors....1. Federal law says dumpster diving is legal. Local laws my differ and can override federal law. A lot of localities don't have a law. The other thing is that the property that the dumpster sits on is considered private property and you could be trespassing. Most cops don't care and don't enforce it. Now....if there are "no trespassing" signs posted.....don't go there.

I am in canada what a shame that so much stuff is thrown away but you all benefit and other people too thanks for saving it

Here in Florida they spray paint or rip everything. I went to my sister's in Tennessee and the dumpsters have signs saying it's against the law to take anything from them. That really bummed me out because I saw stuff. Your so lucky to find things not spray painted..and Oh! Yes I totally believe you found everything..it use to be that way here..the scores were tremendous..that is until a few ruined it for everyone. Loved watching you two find such fantastic stuff. Nice all our bed bath and other stores have been closed a month now non essential supprised your guys is still open crazy finds though. Only stores in my area are D.G. and grocries which most lock so not much diving on my end for past 2mon
