In a nutshell, I ‘m an avid dumpster diver, scrapper, picker, treasure hunter and underwater connoisseur. I prowl the city streets in search of dumpster loot, curbside treasures & scrap metal as well as scour the river bottoms for lost valuables during the summer months when I can scrounge up enough money for gas. Cold, wet and windy and the dumpster gods gave you an umbrella right out of the gate!
nice find on the suitcase tool box you can get your spaceship tools in that
Hey Mike, love your videos. Your videos make me smile and make my days better since I'm mostly bed ridden now. Keep up the good work.
Follow up on that bag mikey!
Oh I know it had to be cold! When I went out for the mail about noon yesterday, it was 39 and the wind went right through me, in Bastrop. Thank you for your dedication, even in the cold!!!

I would take that 39 anyway of the week. It’s 17-25 in northern Indiana. As a letter carrier 39 is a warm day. My question Mike is how do you wear shorts in cold weather?

@@geraldmiller5592 cold in the south is different than in the north.
Mike, the thing you threw back was an air bladder for truck, bus or trailer suspension.
Thank you for the videos Mike the Amazing scavenger. 🙂
Saturday morning scrapitty Scrap y'all, thanx Mike 🤘
Yeah, the winter is back here too after a couple of hot weeks!!
Always interesting finds Mike. Great vid as always. Good Day.
That thing with brass on it in the survey dumpster is a fuse barrel. Used on power lines and over head transformers. The barrel part that is taped up is going to be fiberglass.
Handy finding an umbrella 🌂 in first dumpster 😆 🤣
Good Morning My Good Bro Mike The Scavenger
I'll still never understand why people throw out tools. Stay warm! I'm 3 hours west of Dallas and I'm freezing. I think I'll just stay inside until it warms up lol

@James Hurd I used to live near Lake Placid Ny..NY.. used to get 40 below zero..after moving to Texas 30 degrees is cold
The 1 thing you kept and threw the rubber piece back in dumpster is a air bag from tractor trailer. The piece you put back in dumpster has a stainless base and rubber can be cut off.
Stone cold scavenging up in here!
Can't be too cool, Mike still has his shorts on
Found myself out microscraping this evening. Have a load on my trailer I gotta go through. Plenty of aluminum cooling fins, some circuit boards, wire, brass, copper and metal. Gonna work on it tomorrow if weather is decent. The black round rubber with metal bottom, air bag.
Another fab video. I spent a few hours in IKEA Dublin today and I bought some metal shelving that was slightly larger than my shopping cart and sticking out. A few times I shouted " watch your head", my other half just looked at me, shook her head and said, "who do you think you are, Mike the Scavenger"? Your famous even in Ireland Mike.!
The cold can't stop you from the grind brother, get that scrap & make that money 👍

I swear Mike sometimes you pick up the strangest stuff.
That looks like a specialty tool case!
The item with the ring on top and the brass screw cap you found is called a fused cutout. It is used on overhead power line poles to protect the circuit. It works on the same principle as a breaker in your panel at home.
Love the classical music in the background!!
Made a campfire in the backyard and watching MTS that's how i like my evenings. Great job you did there mike 👊
MIKE!!! That chair roller pad / plastic thing is worth a couple $$. The thick ones you never have to replace. $50 ez for it.
Good morning, Mate!
Mike the scavenger 👍
14:00 Thats exactly what it is Mike! it's for a big truck with air brakes, it's an air suspension! I'm a Trash truck driver, the only reason why I know this
I love watching your videos i check everyday for a new video lol
You make me think of my grandson! Rain🌧 shine 🌞sleet🌨or snow ❄️ ! He gonna be in his short britches! 😊
At 14:35 that brass in nature thing was an electric company cutout door for a transformer pole.
Hi Mike good too see ya 😀 😊
Mike, While emptying the box to collect snibbits around 3:30 there was a box in the box full of snibbits which you threw forward. I think might have been moving a bit too fast. Great content.

So, I'm glad you mentioned that. I thought I saw it too but was trying to get this in before I headed out for work so, I didn't really have time to be going back and checking. Now that I have some time I came to see if anyone else mentioned it and I found this! Good eye!

I saw it too. He seems distracted not doing his through search. I've seen stuff in other recent videos that he has missed.
Scrap and Stuff 🤘👍🏽🍺
Every time you say "It's a Dell" I start singing Adele's song Rolling In The Deep 🎶
Here in CT it was almost 60 yesterday. Today the high temp was about 9AM and it's below freezing now and going lower. And getting windier. Mike wouldn't want to hop out of a dumpster into this, for sure.
Good video and yes it was cold last night but I touched my way through it and found an x-ray machine in the Dumpster among other cool stuff. I'm thinking about putting some videos on here not sure though
Hey Mike the scavenger. Hugs 🤗 from Kentucky ❤️🤗
Good job Mike at least you didn't went home empty
👍👍👍❤️❤️❤️😎😎😎. Great job Mike. Keep up the great work. Have a wonderful day. 👍👍👍❤️❤️❤️😎😎😎
I loved when Mike grabbed a box for snippets and tossed out the box off snippets that was in the box lol
Same here in england hope you have a fruitful night
Yeh watch my head too, I was breaking out in a sweat just watching you, mike
For the tin pipes, think a sledgehammer would be a good idea to smoosh it flat for compacting it, smash and fold. Just to make it easier to fold it up. Now pay no mind about being buried, just need to dig for the gold💰💰💰☺😜🕵. It's all a blessing and an adventure!!!!!
That black case you found is a master electrician case, really exspensive
So happy to see another video ! Stay warm . Here in Pa is 15 degrees
Realy Mike. Netherlands here.. Do i here clasicall music on the background. Hahaha
Gotta snatch 'em all, Scrappymon!
If anyone can, Mike conduit! 😉 Enjoy your videos. Thanks for letting us tag along. Stay warm and safe. GOD bless
Nice dives tonight. Must have been out the night we got that cold northern wind. It came in fast and cold. Stay safe bro.
Freezing and 12 inches of snow here today in North East Pennsylvania
11:48 From this shot I thought you blurred out something in the dumpster. I was thinking about all the things that you must blur for KZread. Then you walked around and I saw what it was. Dayum. I have a filthy mind.
Always loosing your magnet 🧲. I hope 🤞 Dottys new wings are designed with this in mind 🧠
Ok, two things! LOL Does anyone else hear classical music? Second, I thought it was cold out because I could see your breath then you liked down and you got flipping short!! You crazy I like ya but you crazy
WEEEEEEEEEEEE!!! heck yes ..
The wind tommorow will feel like zero degrees in Massachusetts now that’s cold!
Make a pet bed out of suitcases. Drill 4 holes and install 4" wood legs. Very trendy and in demand.
The wind arrived last night and it is still here. just staying in
Love your videos keep safe
Looks like it is getting a little bit cold out there stay warm keep digging keep that stuff out of the land fill and make a little bit of money in the process
Speaking of the wind we went without electricity all day and half the night yesterday, bringing freezing temps to the south it was a brutal brutal wind. I know it wasn't fun being out in it Mike thanks for going out for us.
That case is an old school IT tech tool box. I have one of those.
It's called an "Air Bag" and it's part of a trucks suspension. That one is blown apart.
GET GREEN GET WILD... Great trip!
Have Fun sorting out that Mystery Bag ! Great Dumpster Diving - You got some Stuff and Such ! Love the Video and Cheers from us in Australia !!!!
Excellent video even though you didn't get full it all adds up hang in there brother five stars

Harbor Freight batteries last much longer, especially if you get the orange ones! The blue ones are probably even better, but nothing beats the cheap yellow or orange ones.

@@bronzegod8037 that's understandable. About the same for me, byt I drive by at least 3x per week so it's very convenient to stop. Especially since it seems like my little one only likes toys if they use batteries.
Thanks Mike.
Mike enjoy the vidoes, keep them coming. My scarp yard will take fire extingushers, shocks, A/C bottles as long as you cut them open. Any type container or tank if cut open they will take. Happy scrapping,
Wooden crate would make a great raised veg bin. Grow your own.
Just an FYI Mike, those ends on the vid cables, as well as most of the USB and phone chargers, are all gold plated, cut the ends off, keep the rest of the wire, you can sell the ends to gold reclaimers on Ebay. Seeing that you get enough of them, save them up in a small tote then sell, you'll get more selling them and they don't take up much of any room in storage it would certainly be worth your time just to cut the ends off and keep.
the new side extensions look pretty snazzy there Mike :)
mantap kopi mana kopi..salam from indonesia brooo
Hey mike .happy scrapping dude
Thank you for the video
Smush that like button y'all, you know you want to...
It may be cold, but... You can do it - with Conduit!
Hey Mike .. love your videos !
Him: "Look at that crate, You could put like 4 dead bodies in there" Me: "5 if you grind em up"
MIKE the SUPER😎😎
The black hose with the bit of brass on it is that not a sprinkler for your garden Mike. All the best from Dundee Scotland.👍👍✌👊👊
Mike, those battery backups you found, open them up and take out the boards, snibbets and transformer is going to get you 15 to 20 bucks more and you can still scrap them out. Easy money.
Good job mike and very very nice video idol
That "Brass in nature" thing is a shunt (fuse link)from an electrical service pole on the "Hot side" (high voltage side)
What's in the plastic BAAAAAAAG?!?!?!? 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Don’t forget you can also part out the computer for the motherboard, cpu, and ram too, not only the hard drive.
Nice. Bad Scrappity Scrap night
Nice find. The dell PowerEdge is a server. Huge plus if it has 2 CPUs inside.
I found one of those air shocks in the woods by a truck scale once. I just cut it up with an angle grinder: there was cast aluminum on it.
Hey Mike I just want to thank you for your videos I look forward to him every day that they come out my grandfather was a sheeny man do you know what a sheeny man is he raised 13 kids being a skinny man
13:46 no Mike those are the base bottom of a semi truck airbag, they are usually black ABS plastic, but you lucked out and got the metal version (rare). If you find a whole one (not separated), spray a flammable fluid into the hole on flat steel top you had there 14:20 , then light it and it will blow the bottom out and off the assembly.
Mike those video cables is like what we used in the TV production lab at the College. You can get any combo cable style you want. They aren't cheap. That Dell is a server.
You get a good price on copper...only going up, but nice to cash some in. Check commodity, you know what to do....good luck, I am surprised at copper being tosed
The pink bottle. If it’s empty, hit it with a hatchet, give it a nice gash, the yard will take it.
Most places will take those refrigerant tanks but you have to drill out the rupture disk so they know the tanks are completely empty. I used to get them from the dumpster by where I lived and would build up a pile of them and turn them in when I had 50 or 60 of them. Decent money.

His yard will only take it if cut in half, same for most all yards in the area, we can't get away wit drilling a small hole
