Pretty great finds 😊 The sad thing is that these college kids just don’t care enough to find out the donation process 😢. Our daughter commuted to college and then, commuted to grad school as well so of course she didn’t throw anything away but, she knew students who did. She used to ask them why they threw perfectly good things away and they said they didn’t care 😢. We are proud of her because she put herself all the way through 7 years of college and doesn’t take anything for granted ❤

@@bettyannstreet2906 I don’t like to judge cuz I don’t know the full story of the student’s situation but, maybe the colleges could spread awareness about making donations instead of throwing their belongings away. I do understand that most students don’t live within driving distance from their college campus so obviously they can’t take much home with them like I did 30 plus years ago when I lived 2 hours away from my college.

You are great parents! I was raised to be frugal...I even wipe down plastic wrap and reuse it again as well as plastic bags and I have no shame! I budget and save every penny and the Good Lord sees me through the large expenses!

My husband and I have been shopping at the same grocery store for over 30 years now and have always been huge couponing customers. The other customers would get annoyed when we were checking out cuz we had about 30-50 coupons every time. There were employees that would actually avoid being our cashier since it took so long. But, we saved at least $50 -$100 every week especially when we were able to stack the manufacturer’s and store specific coupons 😀

a lot of these students just did final papers on environmental problems i'm sure that is a requirement of most programs (global awareness) and then dump all their stuff in the landfill.

Some colleges in CA have food pantries now. The communities around the campuses donate food and toiletries and cleaning supplies.Students with their current school IDs can come a couple of lf times a week and fill up on whatever they need ... no limit. Really nice...no starving student with bad breath shaggy hair or dirty dorm rooms. You'd HOPE!!!

It kinda feels like a student in need is likely living at home. Also those bad breath shaggy students, that's usually a lifestyle choice... not from lack of available toothpaste just lack of use...

I wish I had these kids money and family to be able to throw so many important things away. But I wouldn't I'd donate my stuff first. I hope those ppl realize just how privileged they are, going to college, tossing clothes, food, and anything else that might/could/will help less fortunate. Just my thoughts and opinion

Alot of the kids don't live close by and have no way to take everything with them, it's understandable.

My dad worked as a garbage collector, believe me, they salvage what they can. I'm sure some of our gifts. We didn't know the difference. A fun thing to do on a Sunday was to go to the dump.

The white pizza trays are for proofing pizza dough. They can form the dough in advance, refrigerate/freeze for longer term storage and then allow the dough to come back to room temp with room to let unwanted moisture fall through the big slots. You just take it off that tray, place it on a pan or board to get it into the oven, top the dough with sauce, cheese, and toppings and then cook it.

You should get you a pool ladder to hang inside big dumpster so you can get in.

Maybe they don’t have space in their vehicles to take some of the things they toss away. Maybe they don’t have time to take things to a food pantry to donate. Let’s not hate on them as they are young and still learning.

For the stainless straws, you can buy the little tiny brush that you can get up inside of the straw with. They work fabulously! ❤

I always say bring a couple tubs along U would save so much of your energy by using at the dumpster and then putting tub in truck box

My great grandmother used to take my Dad hunting for wild Morel mushrooms when he was young. I’ve had them a few times and they are phenomenal!

In Europe me n my cousins use to hangout while they would watch the animals in the country lands n we'd go look for mushrooms 🍄 make a little fire n broil n eat them ohhhhh! Soo good memories from my teens 😂 😂

I was surprised you two didn't help out the trash man by grabbing a empty trash can checking bags as you loaded them up to be dumped. The three of you would have made short work of it. I am sure you would have found even more good stuff..... Any way we haven't seen bones in a while maybe next video!😊

The trash guy might have gotten in trouble if he had let them help…it falls under a liability thing for the company he works for and the trash trucks do have cameras …he would have probably told them not to..

My College years were a few decades ago and we never imagined throwing anything away. I even grew a filidendrum which got to 7 feet long...that should make you happy, Kelly because you love plants. I had it displayed around my entire dorm room with glass shelves in-between. It was gorgeous and I gave it to a friend when I left. He promised to keep it forever😻 When I reached home, everything was stored in our basement until I moved to Florida many years later. Then I came across some things from College and it was like Christmas! I was so happy that I had not given away everything! There are things that don't go bad and if you buy them again after many years, you may find that the price has gone way up! If you don't have room after a move, then it's still better to donate than to throw things away.

Hello Everyone! We have a huge clothes donation bins and some people just drop off things near them. I always go through the bags and take what I can use. I've found some designer clothes that I otherwise could never afford to buy all in great condition...you guys save so much waste where it could just fill the landfill and burn for months! Landfills have transfer houses where the trucks unload n people go through it and separate. My ex-husband would bring home all kinds of stuff. Thanks for sharing

Good morning. the mushrooms are "coulemelles" or "lepiote high" (French name) butter in a pan, place the cap only (the stem is of no interest) it is absolutely divine in taste!

When the straws go through the dishwasher, it's not gonna get inside of the straw itself. You can buy a little brush that's for straw. Cleaning and you can also soak them in vinegar and baking soda in a little dish. PAN plastic dish PAN and let them soak for a couple hours and then take that little brush. You can get it at Walmart and brush. Go down through your straws. Because stuff can stay in there and you're not gonna get it out, just setting them in the dishwasher. It doesn't work that way. I'm sorry. The water doesn't get up in there like it should. So for health reasons, you need to soak them.Then use the straw brush to clean them out

I had a small black kitten come into my yard two days ago. My yard backs up to a wooded area and he just wandered out. Looks just like Bones. He is thin, very vocal and friendly. First of the week I will get him to the vet to see if he is chipped. Try to get him adopted, if not. He's loving and ready for a family. (I already have too many cats). Really enjoy your videos. Oh my gosh!! Who would ever think that the garbage picker upper guy would be more than happy for you to stay and keep digging. Totally gets it and said it will make my job easier with a giggle. Then actually hands you something he feels a waste too. So wonderful!! I get so much joy watching you two team work and having fun. Haaa that pizza box thing. My friend's Dad totally rides the garbage truck and does their loading job, emptying cans for their whole neighborhood. He is a pharmacist, just enjoys helping. He even hops on the back and rides there, loads the trash at every house... u assume right away that they wouldnt let you, I know our workers are happy for the help and totally allow it! Maybe they shouldnt but also I bet they dont get many offers... Was kinda tempting to take his empty cans and fill those up while sorting all that on the ground... he kinda even suggested that. Would take some time and focus to do that WHILE picking, instead of just loading stuff, but would be the best way to pick, getting the trash outta your way as u go. But this is the end of the goods so might not be worth it like if they did that last week... I swiffered today and wondered about finding a more sturdy one... they have lots of options!

I saw a video of not throwing seeds out in garbage they saved them n threw them into nature so now every time I eat a peach,mango , cherry,or juice a lemon I save the seeds can't wait to throw them into nature ... what a blessing to eat fruits right from the trees.

Yeah the rain you get comes up to me in Missouri and we have storms from them. College days are done and the students have gone home. Maybe the only ones there are those who have to take a summer course of classes to get their degrees. God bless and have fun getting ready for a yard sale.
