Mike, Here in Massena,NY there is a person that is called Recycle Michael. He walks and picks up paper and garbage. He has a custom cart that the town painted his name on the wagon. I have seen him all over town pucking up trash to make it a cleaner place for all. He reminds me of when you were using your bike to get around town. I'm trying to get him a Proclamation for his efforts cleaning up Massena,NY. Michael is disabled and walks everywhere .

Good old Sunday.

Mike in the first Dumpster of the video, there was a black foam wrap standing up about 4 or 5 feet that you didn't check. For those AC places you should check if there is a copper pipe inside, as they wrap the copper return from the condenser in that black foam and it is usually stuck on, so the fact the foam was standing upright makes me think it was supported by a copper pipe inside.

There are a lot more than you think. My area gets cleaned up pretty good. There is often a long line at the scrap yards.

Mike isn't keeping all stuff out of the landfill. He left a bunch of metal in the one dumpster. I think it's galvanize metal. Not sure a to why he doesn't pick it up.

That huge box of hangers isn't scrap where I come from it's poor mans welding rod!

Always used it for that, too. It spits a bit, but it works.

Nice find on that geopump. I checked ebay and it actually sells for $400. If it doesnt work or you cant test it you can probably sell it on ebay for at least $100 as parts.

@@ddawe31635 having done construction it does help , we never liked to go to scrap yard unless it was straight copper, take the wiring and leave the aluminium

I only use the wire hangers. So many uses for them. And years ago I picked up a eureka sitting at the curb. Took it home and it worked for years. Thanks for sharing

This day is off to a GREAT start! Funny how I started watching this video 4 minutes after you posted it but have to pause and rewind several times so I can get a good look at the SOCKS 🧦! That metal shelf you took apart got me to thinking. Maybe next time I run into a nice one like that I will snap a picture before I take it apart. Put it on Graigslist for $20. I'm trying to sell more stuff now rather than bring to scrap yard, even good ironing boards I'm go to try to sell at garage sales for a few bucks. Much better than scrap price.
