Got one 2 month ago for my first kit (sw01), pretty nice and small (that a good point for me).

Very detailed and well prepared review. Thanks. As you had the chance of using both the x6 and the x6pm-350, what will you recommend? Is there some cons for using the mini version comparing to the x6? Say they will be same price, same rx, will you prefer the mini or the x6?

I'd prefer the small ones. But if you're going to the field or racing 1/10, probably the large ones. Manual is way better in the new ones, much easier to understand. Not sure if the large ones do have mixed modes, never really understood, manuals extremely poor.

Hello, Thanks for the vid, very instructive :) Btw, I’m wondering if it’s possible to adjust fan speed with channel 5 or 6… I’d like to add a fan on some crawlers but don’t want them to make noise considering there is no need to have lot of cooling ^^

Since a fan is only a motor (brushed normally) you can do this using an ESC on ch. 5 and connecting the fan to the ESC. Bit off effort - but doable ;-)

Received my set, tried the 3in1 esc-rx, sadly it has like zero modulation. So it’s not good for crawlers. I will add my esc to use it for the C-10. Also will receive a 6ch basic rx, so I will swap it out to save some grams. The transmitter is really nice tho! (Im only missing the foam wheel…)

I will eventually build an scx24 with 4ws, a winch, and full led light kit. Will also be running furitek lizard esc with brushless motor . This seems like the perfect radio for this build. Which receiver do you recommend for my build?

I prefer the tiny 4ch with micro plugs. But if you prefer normal servo plugs buy the simple 6ch without gyro. You can decase it. If you want to use a light ontroller built in, then get the one with LC, X6DC without gyro.

love the video but for it seems the first ten min you talked about all kinda other remotes i clicked the video for the x6pm lol not hating just saying i almost left cause i wasnt learning anything about the remote described

I love to see how manufacturers are finally adopting the smaller format radios, the Flysky was promising but in the FCX24 showed reliability is not there yet. This Dumborc one looks way better, but I'll still stick to my Turbo Racing P32 with the easiest digital menu and expo settings available too. Will we see a high spec Radiolink or Futaba radio in smaller format in the future?

Do not think so. Futaba for sure not, and Radiolink is some kind of related with DumboRC (Dumbo rx are labelled Radiolink, but do not work with Radiolink radios/receivers), do not think so. I bought the new Radiolink RC8X, but did already sell it... menue, display, top... but cheap plastic, AA batteries (or Lipo, cannot charge in radio), also switches plastic, not to compare with the (much cheaper) Flysky Noble NB4. Will stay with my Noble. BTW: Use a lot of the cheap ANT micro receivers now (half of the price of the GRM AFHDS3 receivers for Noble), with Reely Gen4 radio from Conrad. Also did order the new tiny Flysky, did not yet receive it, we will see how this works. This should have model memory and work with the tiny ANT rx. RCDriver review is too short IMO. I will do a more detailled review. But you should try the new Dumbo with the micro receiver (1.5 mm), super tiny rx. Actually for 24,50 € on Banggood (at least for me in Austria). Love it. And receiver less than 10 bucks... Still have and use my Turboracing P52 (gave my P32 to a buddy) in several trucks. Yes, it is super ok (but reverse is a kind of "not sensitive"), really good. I like it, but receivers are kinda hard to get meanwhile, and often quite pricy.

Hi, I was curious 🧐 can I bind it to multiple vehicles 🚗. So 1 radio for all of my cars. Also if I did buy 2 radios do they have different crystals or channels so I can run them at the same time? thanks again

Yes, of courses you can run several of those radios with several different trucks side by side. But no model memory. Still you could run simple trucks (no complicated programming) with only 1 radio.

How do i get this receiver to stop making sounds every 6 seconds the blue on the on switch stays flashing but controls my rc perfect

No idea which receiver you mean, there are numerous. Maybe check the receiver video... receiver does not make sounds, if, the radio. Maybe battery alarm? Any alarm it has to be.

i have hooked this up to a mini drifter with the mini G receiver and im having issues adjusting or even making the gyro work i pressed the button 3 times on the receiver and the light comes on but doesnt work with the car ? and if i turn channel 5 knob it doesnt do anything

Hmmm... strange, I did not have problems in any of the gyro receiver - honestly do not know how to help. Are there two different lights on your receiver (pressing the gyro button)?

Such a cool radio. Radiolink receivers look totally the same as these receivers.. wish they could bind, I haven't tried, but I think I've read somewhere that they can not bind? Another quick question: which one should I buy- scx24(deadbolt) or ax24? :D Greetings from Bulgaria!

I have tried. They are even labelled Radiolink inside, but they won't bind. I even asked this question in RCGroups forum some years ago and Radiolink responded, that they do not bind but are made by Radiolink. I'd prefer the Deadbold, but if you like 4WS and the look of the AX24... buy that ;-) I'd prefer CR-18P or FCX24...

@@donaldsneffe I can forgive them about that :)) Radiolink receivers are cheap enough, although there are some nice features on dumbos receivers. I recently discovered, that I can bind radiolink receivers with my radiomaster, with only cc2500 module+ multiprotocol firmaware. Not that I have an idea what to do with it :D Portal gears > worm gear??

I am a very beginner. I just want to know if these pistol grip RC transmitter works with multiple models (multiple receivers)? I think it is called memory mode. Most stick model works with multiple models and not necessary to set up for each toy more than once.

No, the DumboRC radios do not have model memory. The cheapest pistol radios I know that do have model memory are TurboRacing P32 and P52, Flysky FS-MG7, Flysky GT3C and B, Hobby Porter HP07 and LDARC CT01, all are or were available for less than 50 bucks at some time.

Of course, but in the receiver with built in ESC ESC is too small for 1/10 motors.😢

Mine has a throttle delay. I have to press the trigger twice in order for the throttle to work. Is this a built in safety feature or can I turn that off?

Only in reverse? Then you set the ESC to Forward - brake - reverse and have to change to F/R (crawler) mode.

Does the radio work with 4 AA rechargeable NiMH (1.2V nominal but down to 1V/cell at the end of discharge)? Basically can the radio work with 4V supply?

I use NiMH in all my radios (which need AA or AAA), also in the X6PM-350. No issues. But I do not know if it works with 4 V, never checked. End of charge voltage of NiMH is 1,45 - 1,5 V, so a lot of energy to use down to (1.1, 1.0??? - never checked). A Lipo (not HV) has a nominal voltage of 3.7 V - and we stopp playing at 3,8 V (at least in helis and planes), ... never would run it down to 3.2 or so.

@@donaldsneffe Thanks, as soon as you apply a load the NiMH drops below 1.2V, then slowly down to 1.1 (you have to go there to recover most of the capacity). So, good to know that I can operate the radio acceptably with NiMH!!

Do you know if it possible to reverse channel 6? I'm trying to use channel 6 to control my light's and its super annoying because when the lights are off the led on the radio is on.

@@Steve_J81 But how would you control a light with X6F? Do you mean you connect a lightcontroller? X6F does not have a lightcontroller, so you cannot control lights. You can only connect LEDs to the plus and minus pins, which will always be on then, but you cannot switch on/off by radio. If you connnect LEDs to plus and minus of receiver, those will get power when the receiver is powered up. If you want to switch lights with X6F, you will have to use a receiver switch (or lightcontroller), connect it to receiver and the LEDs to the switch.

No model memory. But you can bind as many receivers as you want.

why is my steering reversed even tho the reversed steering is off on the control, it did this as soon as i connected the receiver to the esc and steering

⁠it’s a traxxas slash 2wd i’ve connected the servo and esc in the right place but decided to switch them in the receivers channels and channel one, makes both steering and throttle go reverse idk why, maybe the receiver is messed up? how can i reset receiver

@@sserva3117 No, the receiver is not messed up. Simply use throttle and steering reverse on the radio, easy job. Traxxas does it always exactly the other way than (nearly) all other companies/brands to force people buy and use their expensive overpriced stuff. It is exactly the same in the TRX-4M for example (motor direction, servo). If your radio does not have throttle and steering reverse (but the Dumbo radio does have this), you are a kind of stucked. Reversing motor is easy, simply change polarity on the motor (either desolder wires from motor and resolder in reverse, or change polarity on motor plug (motor plug, NOT battery plug!!!)). Reversind servo is also possible, but a bit more sophisticated. You will have to open the servo, change servo motor wire polarity + change the polarity of the outer two wires of the potentiometer on the board. Easier, buy a servo reverse switch and connect it between receiver and servo. This is one reason why I do not like Traxxas ;-) - it is "typical" Traxxas, making it so difficult to use upgrade parts from other companies.

Its ok to use for traxxas slash 1/10?

@@Lesparta Depending of you want them to be switchable... if you simply want lights (always on), you can directly connect them to the receiver plus/minus (using appropriate resistors), if you want them to be switchable, you need a receiver with lightcontroller or ad rc-switch.

@@Lesparta Depending on size of truck... 1500 mAh 2s is small for a 1/10 truck, you will not get long runtimes. But of course it will work. For "comp crawlers" (light) many use small Lipo batteries, ... if you would like to drive your crawler for many hours with 1 battery, then take 4000 - 6000 mAh 2s (depending on the room available for battery in your truck). The 1060 is ok, good, cheap ESC but not a special crawler ESC. If you want "better" with a lot of settings you can change, then go for the Hobbywing 1080 or the ISDT ESC70, both budget. However, 1060 will work fine and it comes with several RtR trucks.
