My grandmother worked in a sweatshop in the LES when she 1st emigrated to the U.S. and I've hardly spent any time in that neighborhood. Maybe next month when I'm in the city.

Yea, agree that tom's humor goes over the pointy heads of das funky lady and kid, but *Phil's good* . No camera, no video. The talented guy may also be a comedian using the 'tight five' rountine reference 23:00 so if there was any current 'cultural reference' he probably would have picked up on it. That carousel is from Idora Park in Youngstown Ohio, my home town and I grew up 2 miles from the park, I rode that carousel hundreds of times as a kid and have visited it there in DUMBO, you do a great job...

Cooool, as always funny - I mean Phil is funny, right :) noticing details, I like the beginning (OK, I like the whole video, especially spots where and when you're hungry) of the video with that nice wall behind you, nice colour and patina. I'm the night doorman at the first building to go residential in DUMBO, originally named Fulton's Landing. David Walentas is the billionaire developer who bought it (Robert Gair #7, you'll have to do research to figure out the modern-day address) in 1985 for $2.5 million. It contains 124 apartments, the cheapest of which would probably list for $1.5 million today. He and his wife Jane (RIP!) were attending an event one day and Mr. Walentas overheard one of the longtime artist/residents refer to the neighborhood as D.U.M.B.O. and it stuck.

If Tom slips and falls on a broken sidewalk and breaks his whatchamacallit, being an attorney, he can initiate immediate litigation, sue NYC, collect a zillion dollars, and retire to New Jersey.
