Cordial is basically a really strong flavour of whatever it says on the bottle, and you have to add water to it to drink it, like 10% cordial 90% water depending on how strong you want it, they make it so that the bottle lasts way longer than what's actually in it

Fat shaming at the doctor is a real thing though. I had a doctor completely dismiss my health problem and just go on a rant on how big I am and how she thinks I must have mental issues without even asking me any questions or talk to me first. She just assumed and didn’t fix anything.

I made the same mistake with the juice. So, me and my sister wanted apple juice. And we couldn't really read, when we where little, or maybe we where just lazy. So, my sister grabbed the 'apple juice' and some cups. She poured it in and gave me a cup. So I took it, she said it was Apple juice. And I tasted it and immediately spit it out. My mom checked it when I told her, and she laughed so hard and said, "You drank vegetable oil!" A literal jug of vegetable oil! I mean, we were like 5 yrs old! 🤣😜

Sometimes doctors need to know your weight if they have to prescribe medications. Also, keeping track of your weight is important for your overall health. For instance, if you have a sudden unexplainable weight gain (like me) you may have an issue with your hormones caused by an adenoma on your pituitary. Yeah, getting your weight checked at the doctors is not shaming, its actually genuine concern for your well being.

@Kay I agree with you and know what you are saying. However I also get the argument for not wanting to be weighed. I for example used to get weighed at every doctor check up and had extreme and unexplainable weight gain several years in a row which the doctors did nothing about and never thought it to be a concern. They continued dismissing me and my concerns regarding it until I got fed up and saw a specialist who diagnosed me with PCOS. Because I had this bad and neglectful experience I now refuse to get weighed at the doctor unless it’s for medication prescription

Ok but for the "fat bodies" clip. She's got a point to an extent. Most doctors are complete a-holes about weight and use that as an excuse for why they won't test you for a lot of things. They just tell you to "loose weight" instead of actually helping. But agreed that a pod cast is a stupid suggestion as they are completely unreliable.

Then again, some medications are measured according to weight. An anesthesiologist would have to know so he can give you the correct amount of anaesthesia. There are also times when you don't need to to get on the scales. I don't care if I get weighed whenever I see my GP. I have nothing to be ashamed of. I'm speaking for myself BTW.

I get what you’re saying, but doctors need your weight to measure dosage for medication. If they don’t know your weight and prescribe medication anyways, they could be sued for malpractice. Also, knowing your weight can be useful for diagnosing certain illnesses. For example, weight fluctuations can indicate a thyroid issue. What’s more, noting your weight during routine checkups is useful for compositing a baseline and history, which can be used for future diagnoses. If you’re not comfortable with being weighed for mental health reasons (believe me, I know what that’s like), you could always ask to be blind weighed.

This is about the fatness one. When I was young I thought the same as her, that fatness didn't define how healthy you were. but now I've come to realize that it has levels, a healthy fat is when you're overall healthy (exercise included) but you're still technically overweight. an unhealthy fat is when you have obvious health issues and you get no exercise. I am now a lot more healthy but still technically overweight, but all of my doctors say that I'm perfectly healthy, and as long as I don't get asthma or a fat related health issue I should be fine. but then again I'm only a little overweight, and most of it is muscle. so if you're overweight I'd 100% get blood work done to make sure that your actually healthy, you might have something that you'd never thought of.
