Life With Shay makes cinematic and reflective vlogs, very different from all of Duma vloggers. She stays away from the other vloggers, especially the expats. All expat vloggers are the ones creating drama. They come from your country and bring their bad attitudes in Dumaguete. The city has been poisoned by the expats. Without the expats, this city can rest from all the negativities.

Great video JJ as usual. I am 68 and single and plan on staying away from a serious relationship there because of the drama. That is another reason why I want to live in BGC. I think that the cost of living there will attract a better lifestyle. I have been commenting on a lot of your videos in hope that it helps you earn more money. Does it make a difference, if so I will comment on many more to help your channel.

So lived with his girlfriend and her daughter for how many years? 3-5 years? And after he leaves her ( I heard he moved to Palawan) then she accuses him of sexual abuse of her daughter? How convenient. I would consider her a horrible mother to not notice after multiple years of being together before speaking out. What's the worst thing you can accuse a man of? I'm appalled at all the men who are just taking her side of the story. "Believe ALL women" right guys? Shame on all of you. That could be any of them at anytime. Maybe another well known vlogger we all know might be next to be accused of the same allegations by his fiancé in regards to her daughter? I know I'm not taking the chance, I'll never ever date a woman with a daughter now.

I'm not sure of the time line. But I think it's closer to 1 to 2 years. Again I'm not sure. Regardless of who is guilty, that's a tough situation to be in. And my advice to men and women is don't jump into a full on relationship and move in together until you are absolutely sure about the other person.

I'm in BGC. Depends what you're looking for. Lots of options, city, country, beach.

Perhaps they know it will aid in their views? Tubers are notorious for doing things that will get views

Dumaguete is very peaceful and laidback. Too many expats, yes.

I'm so glad I live where I have settled in the Philippines. There are no foreigners in my area - well I've met one in the past 4 years - there are no vloggers and no issues involving foreigners. At first I found the Dramagete Saga amusing, but now it has started having negative connotations for all expats. Grow up, children.

Im sorry to hear that case in Dumaguete. I am a filipina but not been to Dumaguete. But we don’t know what really happened on both sides. You are right, you have to know the person before making any decision. You have to know the background and intentions of the person you are dating. I don’t believe on LDR.

Duma is a great city. It's just the right size city in the Philippines to start out in for a newer expat. If you are a vlogger or like to follow vloggers, then you can get caught up in the drama if you so chose. If you don't follow or you stay away from the vloggers that are into drama, you would never notice the drama at all. Drama seems to be for those with nothing to do or vloggers who want views at any cost. I don't follow any vloggers who are into drama as their main stay of entertainment. I just delete their channel.

The drama in Dumaguete is exponentially made worse by too many vloggers in a small contained community. Dumaguete is fine. The toxicity is brought about by vloggers like you who do not really know the facts and immediately turns to social media to “break the news” to the world to increase your subscribers and your viewership. Most vloggers like drama - more $$$ from KZread😮

I live here and yes they are a few bad vloggers and foreigns I didn't move here to hang with foreigns I hang out and married a Filipino no problem fore just mind your own business it's that easy

If you ever really listen to those KZreadr's the central thing that stands out is they're all maga folk. They don't necessarily. go out. and spill their grievances and hate about the USA. But they sure bring their BS with them and they eat each other alive with their videos. Like yourself jj, you're maga. It's just what you say that I picked up on.
