The way Dulquer explained about the difference between the two industries clearly shows how matured he is and he did it in a very humble way. I am kind of impressed

The adoration that Dulquer has when he's talking about Mammooty is everything ❤️ Love how he's so grounded and sensible.

Not a malayalee but this guy DQ has all my heart...What a charmer! Humble, smart and an eloquent personality he is...i loved the way he answered the malayalam vs bollywood question without putting anyone down.. Watched this interview only and only for him :-) That said, this was probably one of Sonam’s better interviews where she does not brag about herself endlessly!

I think the main reason malayalam makes movies with excellent content is the quality of their audience. In hindi also good movies are made every now and then but they are all mostly underrated and draws less success from the box office compared to the commercial masala ones. At the end of the day what the makers of the movie seeks is profit. And they deliver what the majority seeks. On the other hand malayalam audience celebrates movies with good meaningful content. And they won't hesitate to criticize and crap upon movies with bad content. Even malayalam's top superstars like Mohanlal and Mammootty aren't immune to this. Malayalam audience just won't tolerate crap movies no matter who is starring in it. And they will embrace great movies even if it is done by new faces and new comers.This encourages filmakers to experiment more and create great content.

There is also one aspect that Dulquer forgot to mention when it comes to the content in Malayalam movies, which is, the influence that the forerunners of the movie industry like movie directors Padmarajan, Bharathan, Sibi Malayil, Faazil, K G George, Adoor (as well as the script writers, cameramen and cinematographers) from the 80's had on the average Malayalam movie lovers' cinematic expectations, as well as the inspiration their works gave to the Malayalam movie-makers of the current times. The works of those trailblazers would trump even the most realistic Malayalam movies of the recent times, content-wise as well as in the way the stories were told.

Exactly, my thoughts. She speaks like an absolute idiot with a sense of entitlement and show offish attitude. Thats why all Comedians mimic her accent every time. In all her earlier interviews she came across as extremely snobbish and discriminatory towards other Actors. Even Alia had a few dumb moments in her early days but she has amended her way of speaking and is not perceived to be stupid anymore. Her fashion sense is great but when a team of fashion loving people work for you how difficult is it to be fashionable?

No, it doesn’t shut up. Feminism blah blah. My Daddy blah blah. Nepotism blah blah. Shes just a nonstop nonsense speaking person. Humility is not her strongest quality for sure. She auditioned for Sawariya but she was cast in it bc of her filmy connections just like RK was not like SLB would have made it with an outsider. Dilli 6 was one of her good films. She did play Bittu with a certain level of spunk and freshness but then she gave those interviews and ruined her image for her fans. The modest middle class characters she played in some of her earlier films were good. She resembles a bubbly girl next door from a small town and people are able to connect to that, just like Parineeti and maybe Rani. In this interview, shes acting like she belongs to Ambani’s or the Windsor family. ‘Yes I was born with a silverspoon’. Now all the make up didis will come to her rescue !

DQ underplayed the Malayalam movies bit. They have excellent stories, actors, writers and they r more logical too. No spoiling of movies with impossible fight and dance scenes and item numbers. They are ruling now!

Watched the trailer of 'Madhuraraja' 2019 malayalam movie??, Coz it has all the crap you where talking about and was a hit indeed, we have audience who accept masala movies too tbh!! . DQ was absolutely right, other industries don't see our flaws.

All movies aren't perfect in the malayalam industry. But u can expect this sort of class in story telling and acting only in movies like Virus, kumbalangi, thamasha, 22fk, old mohanlal mammooty movies etc etc . Whether these movies make money or not, such quality of movies are only in the malayalam industry.

I'm a teen......just loved it......what a different and beautiful topic luck and hardwork were the protagonist.... superb..... Abhishek Varma....what a direction.....Just see it....This film keeps a gorgeous smile on your face intact.....and that's what you thrive for ina cinema hall.... it's beautiful.....Indian audience are **ed up....I guess.......Give credit to those who are deserved......Superb Sonam mam.....
