Dullstroom in 60 Hours (the perfect weekend getaway)
Around two hours’ drive from both Gauteng and Nelspruit, Dullstroom makes for the perfect weekend retreat. Undeniably the most famous of all the Highlands Meander Towns, Dullstroom is a tourist mecca in Mpumalanga that attracts hundreds of thousands of visitors every year and is commonly referred to as ‘Scotland’s Only Outpost in Africa’.
During a 60-hour stay in Dullstroom, my team and I captured some incredible footage to share with you - and we're hoping this video inspires you to act Like a Tourist in Dullstroom, whether you’re a first-timer or a regular. At Like a Tourist, we believe South Africa is the most beautiful country on earth. Dullstroom is just one reason why. 🇿🇦❤️

Wow! What a great video. It’s been in my inbox for a while but finally relaxed with it. Babel and Work of Time are on my list too… but you must try Black Pearl (Boutique Wine Estate) Mischief Maker and the Mouvedre. Didn’t know Dullstroom offered so much and the mist adds to the mood! Historical aspects were so interesting too!
Stunning video and interesting content Mark.
Breath-taking videography and masterful storytelling. I’m excited to go back!

You should stay at Dullstroom Manor it is amazing!
I fully agree. I went crazy over Dullstrom last year. What started as a couple's weekend at Critchley Hackle ended with me coming back to shoot pictures of Connemara lodges. After those two trips, I then convinced my friends to book for a winter weekend getaway. Heaven! I'd do it again. 😁
Great video Mark and team. Having spent 10 years in Dullstroom (2008 to 2017) your production definitely captures the mood, feeling and everything that is Dullstroom. Very special place with wonderful people. Well Done.

Solly, this makes my heart so happy. The whole reason we started making these videos is to inspire South Africans to act like tourists in their own country and visit local destinations that weren't previously on the top of their list. Thank you for taking the time to watch this video and comment. Every bit of support goes such a long way!
Great video! Even as a Dullstroom resident myself, I have to say that you have made some observations about the town that I hadn't quite articulated myself. Particularly, the diversity of experiences that are available: nature and serenity right next to a rowdy bar. This video captures Dullstroom very succinctly.
