In their first meeting of the season, the #3 Tar Heels took down the #7 Blue Devils, 93-84. North Carolina used its defense to spark the fast break and get easy buckets. UNC forced 11 Duke turnovers and scored 19 points off of those turnovers. Armando Bacot scored a game-high 25, grabbed 10 rebounds, and dished out five assists. Playing in his first UNC-Duke game, Harrison Ingram scored 21 points, grabbed 13 rebounds, and had four steals. RJ Davis added 17 points and five assists. For Duke, Jared McCain led the way with 23 points and 11 rebounds. Kyle Filipowski added 22 points and Jeremy Roach scored 20 points.

UNC already won the rivalry in the 2022 final four. This was a nice win nonetheless.

@themansince sure, but it will never have the same intensity that it once did. It's a bit like watching a movie that you've already seen. You can enjoy it, but it has lost its luster.
