You can’t enter a business contract unless you’re an adult. The only way Whisper could have played for Chelsea before he was 18 is if he was in the academy before the signing or if he had a work permit which comes with its own set of rules and red tape. He would have to be a UK or European resident otherwise. When he became an adult he can make his own signing and decisions. He also needed a certain number of games with the national team to qualify for his work permit. If you listen carefully the father said that Whisper needed parental consent to travel with Butler to Europe. Either the father or the mother has to give that permission unless Butler faked their consent which I doubt

However, the parent must consent to where the child goes. They must protect the child's safety and situation. That's all to that... @Ghetto-Chef the dad revealed himself with his own words in a previous interview. The root of the problem is chicanery and the love of money. After listening to both sides I have come to the conclusion that the father had more of a hand in the breakdown of the relationship than many believe. The Craig Butler haters will say otherwise though. All objectivity leaves the building for them once he's involved😀

2:35 he is not wrong, whether situation between both is good or bad, Dujuan is now an adult and is responsible for his own life. Birds kick their little ones out the nest and they better fly, but this wasn't the case from my understand, father was there and helped his son.

6:00 this man is very much at peace. He has accepted the situation as the BIGGER MAN and moving on... FACT remains, Dujuan is now an ADULT by Jamaican law.

She is the agent although she is a crazy woman. Young footballers usually before they turn 18 is always the parents negotiating the contracts with the club. Yes some might use an agent that corespondent with the parents and give legal advice. In this case it seems like Butler and whisper didn’t even give this man the respect of any form of communication in what’s going on for his football. This man is hurt to the core. I hope whisper reach out to his father and clear this up.

U should study the business side of the game some more and the role parents play in the lives of young footballers before they turn 18 or 21 depending on the league they going. Bibi Gardener mommy went to England to live with him and he was already 18.

@@EltonDaStallion exactly. I even knew of instance the clubs provided accommodation for the parents to live. My Neighbour’s son went to Portugal for a 18 month trial. His dad to a leave of absence from work and went with him. Once my son is under age and travelling for football or any sport best believe I’m finding a way to go. That’s one experience of a parent I do not want to miss out on.

Based on what I've seen, it's clear the father is a disciplinarian Whisper has taken exception to his methods of discipline and now that he's 18 he is rebelling.

A common thing I see is family issues shouldn't be made public and this type of mindset is why many abusive situations take place for years and people keep silent. If you want to stay silent about your family issues you can do that but if another person want to talk, they have all right to express themselves and distant themselves from any unhealthy bond.
